Hey All,

Bruce picked up the shops new 1LE last weekend and the work is about to start. I will be getting a few baseline Dynojet dyno runs in later today and then we have a short list of mods to do before we do some baseline road course testing at Putnam Park.

Overall initial impressions are it drives nice but could be a bit stiff suspension wise for some folks. Trans feels very nice as does the steering. I want to go to some 305's in the back, but we will see how track testing does first. I do not want it to push in corners under accel so we may have to live with the 285's. Tires definitely need to get warmed up a bit more as it is in the low 20's here this morning.

Updates will come as they are available. Thanks

Awesome!! It is a little stiff but not bad to me. It rides like a caddy compared to my Ram 2500/Cummins. I swear i am like a kid in a candy store in mine. My wife laughs at me all the time when we are in it!
Can't wait to see what numbers you get. There is a 1LE dyno thread started if you wanna post your results in it also. Does it have the NPP exhaust?

Got the baseline dyno done, and here are a couple pics for folks. This one is a strong car for sure. The numbers shown are STD corrected and the SAE numbers were 387/390.

With only 34 miles on her it can only go up from there :D

What are these rated at? I thought they were the same as the ss but seem stronger.

It seems these are pulling numbers consistently higher than the SS. It would be great if someone would examine why that is.

Could it be just the exhaust? What else is different?

Maybe the lower gearing?

Shouldn't be the lower gearing as the dyno accounts for that. Maybe the electric power steering?
