Compared to the SS...everything is standard...very few options inthe way of interior/exterior appearance or powertrain. Unless you're counting the floor mats and cargo nets and things like that. Hehe

The manual transmission issue difference concerns me!

I also have ordered the optional 5-spokes, but prefer the black wheels, but am hoping the hot version on that carbon fiber concept come available. I was unable to add stripes or the exposed carbon fiber insert, as the insert was not listed and I wanted more info on the stripe appearance before I order.

Does ANYONE know if every single ZL1 will have only RED interior accent stitching??? Or is the stitching keyed by exterior color selection? I thought I saw interior pics of the White ZL1 that had White accent stitching...please comment?

According to the dealer guide, you get one interior color choice, black with suede with red stitching, and Carbon Flash metallic IP/door inserts. :iono:

Thanks. If by dealer guide you mean the "leaked" dealer reference guide, I am still not convinced that is Chevrolet issued. Can anyone validate if this is in fact official Chevy issue? In the Official interior documents I see no mention of RED or any other color stitching. I REALLY do not want RED stitching inside a Rally Yellow car! And they are going to suddently charge a premium for Rally Yellow paint? So I get to pay extra for a really mismatched car? No Way. I will change my color choice before I pay a premium for an exterior color that does not match the interior!!!

The reference guide is legit. My dealer had the exact same copy.

All ZL1 interiors will be the same for 2012. Black interior, Black Leather seats with black microfiber suede inserts and suede dash insert, black carpeting. Standard black leather on steering wheel, and gear shift knob and boot. OPTIONAL - Black Microfiber Suede on steering wheel, gear shift knob and boot. RED STITCHING will be standard on all ZL1 interiors, standard leather or optional microfiber suede interior. I added your codes to the list, thanks.

I *think*....Suede Dash insert is standard.

Does anyone have a clue about what to do to get it? It may not even open up until AFTER your build code (assuming you ordered a different color) gets to production stage!! Bummer? Gotta go with second choice color? DAYUM.

THAT is a really good question. I went back and looked at a lot of pictures. I am thinking that if the Suede Interior Package is NOT ordered, then the steering wheel, gear shift knob, shift boot and dash insert will be the smooth leather with microfiber suede seat inserts. However, if the suede package IS ordered then the steering wheel, shift knob, shift boot and dash insert are then suede covered.

You could be right and the suede dash insert is standard to match the suede seat inserts. I am not 100% sure which way it is and dealers are not sure either. Pictures show both inserts.

I found this while studying the Online Dealer Vehicle Order Guide.

I haven't seen leather inserts in a badged ZL1?

I'm about to leave for a little bit...but I recall the ordering guide that we're not supposed to know about (:laugh:) listed the microsuede inserts as standard interior appointment, and the suede steering wheel and shifter as optional (like in the CTS-V) :iono:

I agree that the suede dash will be std on all ZL1's to match the seats. Just based on what I've read in past...... and I think Ed Welburn said something about it during the intro? Not sure..

You may be 100% correct about the standard dash insert being suede in all ZL1's. I will defer to you because I have not seen you be wrong yet.

Even the "base" ZL1 that debuted at Camarofest II had the suede insert and that car had the standard leather wheel and shifter.

They've never said one way or the other....actually, when I think about it, all show cars to date have had suede so it would have been safe to assume it would be in there from the get-go. :iono:

$300 is about on-par with the aftermarket for such features, I think...and while that's the cost of this option on the CTS-V...it could very well be less expensive on the Camaro. Who knows?

All I know is I checked it! :laugh: I love the refined look it gives the interior versus leather...yet I don't care for traditional cloth. win-win for me!

I'd like to see if I can get similar treatment with my dealer!!! AND, you letting the cleannin boy gets his mits on it? Trash your build sheets? YOu getting "First Place" Finish... for a mere $599? Other dealer add ons? I have a mutual understanding on those. there are NONE>
