O'Reilly's Ceramic Pads

I am looking into ceramic pads and was going to get the Hawks. I called O-Reilly's and they sell a Wagner ceramic pad for the SS that is around $100 for all 4. That's half the price of the Hawk, just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experience with these. I don't want go cheap, my main concern is dust reduction but if I can save $100 without much difference in performance I will do it. I don't track race and am not very hard on my brakes.

Right. But do you have any info or experience with the Wagner pads?

I've heard, and read (Like Junkman) people rave about the Wagner Thermo quiet premium brake pads...not sure if that's the same you're referring too.

Also, read they come with a lifetime warranty - whatever that means...

I want some ceramic pads, but don't want to pay 200.00 for them.

i had the hawk ceramic pads put on today.when i got home i wiped off my wheels and it seemed like i had the same amount of brake dust on them as i had with the stock pads.

I have 8,000 miles on my Hawk ceramics and almost zero dust; night and day difference between the ceramic and stock pads with the same braking performance.

you guys with the hawks , have you noticed if they have worn out your rotors any quicker?

No wear showing on my rotors yet after 8,000 miles.

Yes we have installed several of the Wagner brake pads in our shop over the years.Wagner makes a very good brake pad but the hawk is designed more toward performance. They both will dust some depending on driving habits.

Thanks, appreciate the info. I just might try them, and while I'm at it guess I'd better paint my calipers:drinking:
