LOL! You guys are hilarious!!! I appreciate the info. Go figure I didn't go pulling out the floor of the trunk and all that yet. I looked back there real quick, but didn't see any big side panel that would indicate the presence of a battery. I didn't think it would be UNDER the floor mat/carpet.

Then someone said it might be in the front fender well and I might have to take off the fender to change the battery. :o Never heard of that one!

I'll check the trunk today. Hopefully no dead (or live) hookers back there. LOL!
So it was actually an OPTION to get a spare tire with these cars?! Are you kidding me?! Who's bright idea was that one????

I'd worry more about the lack of a spare tire!!!

Well don't look in the owners manual to find the battery, It's not in there.

There is not an option for a spare tire. I think they come with the v6 models though. V8's there is no spare tire.

Well, finally saw the battery. Yup, in the trunk. No dead or live hookers though. LOL

However, no spare tire. Just amazes me that it doesn't come with a spare tire. Here's a good question, where do they put the battery if the car does come with a spare tire?

Oh and the battery is still the original from 2010. So, now I'm paranoid on how much longer it's going to last. :-/

there rated at 5-6 years, for optimal performance. but you can go far over this if you got a gem. or you could last 1yr and be garbage.

Cool...at least now I can see how the spare fits over the battery. The setup is still weird as hell though. LOL

Next question; Where is the spare tire on an SS? Could it be under the engine cover? :pop2:
