So what are your guy's choices?

What are your guy's choices for your Camaro's?

My Choice:
Price: $28,000 Base
What Version: RS/SS V8 version
Auto or Manual: 6 Speed Manual with 422 HP
Color: I haven't decided yet...I'm waiting for the Photoshop pictures to get done to decide.
Plan to buy: I plan to buy it when it comes out.

So what about you guys?

MerF 08-30-2008 02:35 PM

I'll let you know at Indy when they release pricing. Actually I still won't know as I need to see how they price the 'verts.

When is Indy? Don't forget to let me know!

Scotsman 08-30-2008 03:19 PM

Me:
V6 LT RS/ or SS RS
Auto
Cyber Gray Metallic
Titanium Gray leather
Sunroof
I pod connectivity
Boston Acoustics audio package

If I end up buying the V6 I'm definitely scrapping the stock hood and getting an SS style *bumper with the mail slot up front.

EDIT: I realized it's the bumper and not the hood where the mail slot is located. I wonder how much this would cost to do as an upgrade? Hopefully not too much.

X2, DUH! j/k

Here is my breakdown from your specifics:

Price: unknown
What Version: RS/SS V8 version
Auto or Manual: 6 Speed Manual with 422 HP
Color: Either one of the blues or black with stripes
Plan to buy: 2012. I'm going to see what GM comes out with in a few years - and to save up some money for mod'ing :)

Supermans 08-30-2008 05:07 PM

I'll be getting either the base V8/SS or a fully loaded V6/RS depending on the price between them. (My heart wants the V8 but the front bumper just keeps playing with my mind and my decision) I might wait to order a HUD however at this point I don't think I can wait..

2010_5thgen 08-30-2008 05:09 PM

v8 RS/SS
price : skiy is the limit. im buying as many goodies on it as i can.
6 spd manual.
color:white or black. i cant decide since i saw the white pre pro pic.
buying as soon as the list comes out. im #1 at a local dealership.

16yearoldcamarodriver 08-30-2008 05:32 PM

I think I'm #1 at my local dealership too! To add to my list for my Camaro, I will be adding iPod connectivity - you know us KrAzY high schoolers, and as many other things I want to add to it. After all, my dad is paying for it and he wants me to get a good car. Screw Mercedes, I LOVE THE CAMARO!

dayvedayve 08-30-2008 05:42 PM

V6 LT? (what ever I can get away with without leather) RS
Auto
Silver
everything else is GRAVY!

Scotsman 08-30-2008 05:43 PM

People rag on silver saying, "everyone has a silver car, how boring!". It stays clean all the time, and that is reason enough to get a silver car.

Agreed! White and Silver are the two best colors imo.

Most every car looks good in silver. The same can not be said for any other color.

Wait, I thought pricing wasn't coming out until Late Dec/Early Jan???

Vash 08-30-2008 09:10 PM

Since Challenger 2009 is priced out Chevy might have the numbers aready. They can always put a subject to change*. Or Estimated MSRP leak would be nice.

Oh, I guess I'll just go with this... Except the 2012 part. I'm thinking early 2011.

Thanks again Radz.

Yeah really at 17 I know I cant be trusted with that much power. Dad says I can't spend over 30, but I just cannot realistically see myself behind the wheel of that monster SS considering I rarely drive more than 2-3 miles over speed limit and prefer to accelerate slow to save gas (although I do enjoy a good burst of speed on occasion:headbang5thgen:). That and I really like the RS package, which would put me over the limit on the SS. And the mileage is a bit too low for me. I'll probably get pretty much the same as you Shadow, except I will get Silver (still debating on stripes or not). I may add some little options here and there, but I would like to keep it as simple as possible so there is limited chance of stuff breaking.

I believe he is referring to the price of insurance due to their (ins. co.) lack of confidence in the fact that you will ONLY punch it when appropriate....:chevy:

Apparently if I take drivers ed at my school, and I will, It will drasticly lower insurance rates for me.

Yeah I did that, and I get a discount for good grades, and I have never gotten a ticket or anything, and the insurance is still insane (thankfully I don't have to pay it yet, but still:). So yes every little thing helps, but the initial rate is so extreme that nothing you can do can really soften it much:(

Hm. That doesn't sound right. Driver's Ed is required for the permit, which is a precursor to your license, I can't see something that is required lowering insurance rates, unless you have it confused with Defensive driving, which will lower insurance rates, if you are NOT taking it for a ticket.

pinkcamaro10 08-30-2008 10:05 PM

V6 LT/RS
Fully loaded
Black (top half hot wheels pink)
polished aluminum SS wheels (not a big fan of the RS painted wheels)

Hope to get this baby for $26 ish. :)

Different state, could be true:iono:
Either way insurance WILL cost more for the V8, even for the 25+, which is when your (male) insurance should drop by +/- 40%... :chevy:

You don't need a permit in NH, you just take drivers ed, learn then go fo yo liscense.

Well my driver's ed. class gave me a discount that would take effect 6 months after I started driving and last for 6 months IF I did not get in any accidents or get any tickets. But this discount was minimal, taking off like $20 a month (for 6 months, so it was a pretty good deal but still nothing major). I forget the discount for having all A's, but it was even less than the other.

Could be a different state, hadn't thought of that. But yeah, the v8 insurance will be pretty hefty for pretty much everyone (that is a male) under 25  because apparently we are more likely to get in a wreck than all of those insane teenage girls driving around talking on their cell phones and putting makeup on at stoplights... :bs: on that one imo.. lol

Ah, in TX we have to drive with a permit for at least six months after completion of d ed before we are eligible for a liscence, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, 6 months at 16, 3 months at 17, and you can get your license right after drivers ed at 18.
