Here's an overlay I made of the Z/28's run vs the ZL1's run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F3GMWjBquk

Flippin VERY cool. Shows how awesome both these beasts are, and where their strengths are. TYVM for putting that together. :happy0180:

Using sign posts as references it is about 7 seconds faster at the 5:41 mark. So it lost quite a bit of time in the wet on the back straight.

white ZL1 10-14-2013 10:03 PM

That is blisteringly fast!!!!
Baylor, well done on the overlay.
The Z/28 is around 6 seconds ahead of the ZL1 when he hits the start of the last straight. Then the ZL1's 13mph advantage catches it up a bit.
Maybe it's just me, but that's damned impressive.

I thought about that (I'm obviously partial to the ZL1, lol) however the audio in the Z/28 video is much louder than the audio in the ZL1 video. The Z/28 makes the ZL1 sound like a Prius :fear:

I will say that the rate of acceleration on the ZL1 was stronger.
The Z/28 is a 7:35 car all day long in the dry.

I need to go back to the two videos and see how much farther ahead the Z/28 was before the rain started which was before the back straight.

Yup. It shows you how the ZL1 pulls harder on the top end, especially in that long straight.

X2

The Z28 had over 9 second on the ZL1 at 6m21s. Then the rain starts just before the long back stretch where the ZL1 gets some time back all the way to the end where the Z/28 coasted for survival.

The gap is deeper then 3.8sec.
After reviewing the overlay, the Z28 should be able to crack the 7:30.00

SWEET! Thanks Tran, now my life has meaning

It's amazing how fast the Z/28 puts ground between it and the ZL1 despite the power disparity.
