Hope this isn't a repost.

This will make a perfect stealth/unmarked or maybe undercover car (tinted, of course). no one would guess that it has that much power.
Now THAT is cool!
this thread reminds me what I was gonna do with my old 80 malibu (same generation/style as the one mentioned). mine had a tired old 305 with a 4 barrel carb and a 2 or 3 speed auto. I was all ready to put in the engine and transmission out of a wrecked 93 Z28 LT1 and auto tran but the car was totaled before I could do the swap. the money I got from the stuf that i salvaged off the car and the engine/tranny from the camaro helped buy my a replacement car. if i EVER find another 'bu like that I am SO putting a LS series V8 in it :chevy:!
My first car was a 78 Malibu with a 305 and th350.Nowhere near as nice as this 79.
that thing must burn some serious tire
With the rest of the car being stock that would be a death trap. I bet it does nothing but spin with those tires. I had a friend that use to build small block 400's and drop in this body style. He wrecked everyone he did. That car brings back memories for sure.
If I were him, I would add "modern tires DEFINITELY needed."
BEAST
yeah all that power on stock brakes and skinny tires is a no no. if and when I do my Malibu with a LS heart transplant I plan on upgrading brakes and converting the rears to discs and have 'beefier' tires on all four corners ;).

That thing is so sleeper it only needs a crocheted kleenex box on the package tray to be complete.
Thanks for sharing!!
I like cars that look like sleepers but under the hood have a hidden secret weapon. :w00t:
