2011 Camaro with ZL1 front fascia/rockers/diffuser and a 2014 SS hood
I was getting the itch to change something up on my Camaro and when it comes to body parts I try to stick with OEM pieces. I have had the ZL1 front fascia and rockers installed for some time and the rear diffuser has been waiting along with a Magnaflow ZL1 cat-back for months!!!
Then I got the idea to install the 2014 SS/Z28 hood... I wondered if it would fit and if it did what modifications would have to be made... I ordered the hood and installed it.. https://scontent-a-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/...34074657_n.jpg https://scontent-a-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/...73277107_n.jpg https://scontent-b-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/...09892123_n.jpg The hood fit!!! The only modification that we had to make was adjusting the cowl lines/bumps on the bumper which isn't too difficult. The final prodict is amazing and I love it! https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.n...03341074_n.jpg https://scontent-b-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/...54826970_n.jpg The ZL1 diffuser has been done before but it really makes the car. I'm very pleased with this upgrade as well! https://scontent-a-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/...60883670_n.jpg https://scontent-a-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/...58355648_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...05229881_n.jpg This is what she sounds like with the JDP Stage III camshaft package! It sounds pretty wicked with our Stage III N/A camshaft package!! Some might call it Frankenstein but it is unique! What do you think?! Kind regards, Jordan Priestley 888.308.6007 |
Wow that combination looks amazing!!! The 2014 1LE style hood w/ the front bumper adjustment to match is absolutely perfect on the car. Very nice work!

Looks great
The only modification that we had to make was adjusting the cowl lines/bumps on the bumper which isn't too difficult. Do you have a before and after pic of the modifications you needed to make? I dint understand what your referring to |

Do they make a Red tow hook like yours for the front of the 14's yet?

Very nice! I prefer GM body panels also.

Was your ZL1 facia previously adjusted for cowl line fit or did it have the original cowl lines?
|
Damn dude. You have stolen my thunder. A few local Camaro guys knew this was my secret new mission to be the first with a '14 SS hood on previous model year.
Oh well, my hats off to you. Where did you get the hood? Part number? |
