V8 brake
Hi,
I'm going to purchase brake rotors and pads as well. Is there any recommend combinations of rotors and pads? can I still use my Brembo caliper and the cover? |
What type of driving will you be doing? track day only? Street only? Are you more looks then performance? do you care if there is more dust? Do you want less dust? Budget? Lots of variables to really consider.

I drive it street only and I'm satisfied the current OEM brake performance, but looks could be better. and I don't like to see more dust on it. |
I would stick with the stock system. It does very well for the street. If you want better feel of the pedal then get some stainless brake lines. If you really want less dust then get some ceramic pads. Understand that getting these types of pads you will decrease performance but should have less dust.
We do offer stock rotors that are slotted. That may be an option for you. |

I visited your website and have interest of your LSR rotors and Hwak pads. But I wonder that the those combination are good for my vehicle. and the brake rotors at Gmpartsdirect are OE parts? because the price of their rotor is much cheaper than the one you have. sorry if the questions are odd. |
Don't worry about asking questions. You want to make sure your putting the best items you can on to your car. I do the same.
The ones on gmpartdirect i don't think are slotted. Our rotors are. The slotted will help with looks and some performance. Also they make up the difference in price in the shipping charge. That is what my experience has seen. That combo would be good for you car but not good for your goal. I'm looking in to a price for the ceramic version of the hawk pads for you. They will dust less but, not as good performance as stock or hawk hp pads. |
I sent you a pm
Thanks |

You will sacrifice some stopping power, but the Hawk's give up the least compared to the other "ceramics" I've tested. |
Oops! Forgot the new J-Hooks™. These won't be the quietest (slight hum/groan under heavy braking), but no rotor will stop quicker or provide better pad bite!

Those are some good lookin rotors by Stillen. I may have to go with the slotted and drilled ones.
