CAMROSS & Davenport team up for a Stage III+ with a bunch of other goodies!

Bryan dropped off his car for some serious upgrades.

I thought I'd start a thread to show the progress. Hope everyone enjoys.

Just getting it ready, white protective transportation film, then fender covers.

The old set up.

Intake, heads and front cover all removed. 6.2 ready and waiting for a big injection of power!

The old parts put aside out of the way so they won't get damaged.

I'll continue with more pictures as things progess! This is going to be the thread to watch as we've got lots of things planned for this car!

We're porting the lower manifold on the TVS 2300.

Here are a few photo's that show the difference.

Supercharger unit separated.

I tried to take pictures of the ports but the camera wouldn't focus.:iono:

I'll keep the pictures coming as things move forward.

By comparing the shape of the ports on the LPE head to that of the ports on the ported lower intake of the TVS2300 its quite apparent that air flow between the two parts will be considerably less restricted and should reduce pressure off the back end of the supercharger. In my opinion this should allow the same volume of air to pass through to the valves with less boost.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that a non ported system running 8 lbs. of boost will produces less air out the back of the supercharger than a ported system running 8 lbs. of boost. This makes the boost number a relative term and the actual amount of air in "cfm" the important number for tuners to determine the proper AFR.

Now you need some seats like this, maybe some paint and finally a little dress up...

:)

Of course you are going to be a Davenport 700...or 720....or 750...I'm envious.

:)

I'm told the camshaft, ported heads and Maggie c/w ported intake are all installed on the A6 and waiting their turn for tuning on the dyno between Christmas and New Years. I'm not sure if I'm more excited about Christmas or seeing the dyno numbers, I guess maybe a little of both...:coolpics:
