Got an email from Chevy Parts Plus last night stating that you can order the GM dove tail spoiler paint matched. . .
Don't want to put in a link because I am unsure if they are a board sponsor.

waiting waiting waiting. I know, I haven't ordered yet but I want this spoiler. :(

Not me. I want one like the Challenger has on it. It looks like the 1st Gen, not 2nd Gen.

Part #92207433 ....GMpartsdirect.com shows list price at $400 and their price at $291.20I think it is currently available. It would be nice to have it home and already painted for when your car finally shows up.
I can't wait to start drilling holes in my brand new Camaro. Just kidding. Actually I want the dovetail but am not sure if I can bring myself to drill more holes in it than the splash guards. It might be a good thing to see one on a car the same color first and then make the decision. I was wondering if it affects the driver's view from the rearview mirrors too.

I believe that SLP is making one...

SummoneR 04-11-2009 01:42 PM

Yeah I want one too!
This is the spoiler on the Dale Jr concept right?

Mason44 04-11-2009 01:46 PM

Yeah I want this to be one of the first things I do to my car too besides new wheels.

Yes, thats the one. I hav'nt seen a picture yet that clearly shows if it is one piece or three pieces. If its one piece you will not have to drill anymore holes.

Thanks. That would be awesome to not have to drill more holes...

Primus 04-11-2009 05:26 PM

It *has* to be 3 pieces because of the pieces on the side.

Rodrunner 04-11-2009 05:27 PM

I'm pretty sure Primus is right.

What's up, Detroitboy? You might want to research it a little more. I think I remember someone, a mod I believe, say it's definitely three pieces. Start a thread if you have to.

Digging up an old post from JohnnyCamaro from last fall...

This is JohnnyCamaro AKA John Cox from GM Accessories. I want to clear up some confusion. The Blade spoiler is similiar to many 2nd gen spoilers and is a three piece spoiler. The Blade spoiler is an accessory that will be available sometime after launch as a future accessory. The blade spoiler will work with vehicles that have a lip spoiler from the factory, as it uses the same mounting points.
As for the High Wing Spoiler, it is available as an LPO at launch with an RPO code. The Spoiler will not work with vehicles that have a lip spoiler from the factory as the mounting points are different. Therefore if one would want this spoiler with a vehicle that already has the lip spoiler, they would have to buy a new decklid and then have the Wing Spoiler installed on the new decklid.

I hope all this info helps and good luck ordering....
