Thanks Barry. Finally got the motor mounts from Oreilley's. Freakin expensive at 57$ a piece. O well at least I know I wont have to replace them very often. Also had to make a trans mount converter bracket to mount the TR6060 to the T56 crossmember. Ill post up some pics next time everything is taken apart for prep and paint. At least I know everything fits now. I had to split the top of the trans tunnel and open it to make room for the taller trans, but other than that everything bolted right up.

OK guys been taking a break in cars dealing with sick kids and a bunch of crap. Been working my tail off, and decided to splurge. I was going to buy a dash shell for a 5th Gen like in my roll age pics, but I found a complete used pullout from a Vette salvage yard in Mississippi. Can't wait to get this thing in and looking sweet. First 5th Gen dash in a 3rd Gen? I think so. Doesn't hurt having a blown ls3 and a tr6060 either. I'll keep u guys updated. Here's what's coming next week in a big box:

It is that time of year for folks being sick. Looking forward to seeing this install. What kind of hurdles do you expect?

RedVictory 01-30-2013 02:53 PM

I can not wait to see this completed

Third-Gen 01-31-2013 10:58 AM

ya flu season is no fun, especially with an 9 month old in daycare. I had another dash that I used for mockup at Hess that was out of the ZR1 Camaro, and everything fit pretty well, just had to trim the front edge of the dash to fit the different curve of the 3rd gen. The steering column lines up, but I have to make the finish panels for both ends of the dash, and a new column cover, and who knows what else. The firewall is going to be the hardest part with the air intake for the HVAC, and the lines will have to be moved for the heater core and evaporator. Its gonna be fun! haha. But i think it will be worth it!

b4z 02-01-2013 04:53 PM

Glad to see a update on this car. Did you ever look at a GTO dash. I see a,new GTO complete interior in a '60s GTO and it was amazing.

Third-Gen 02-04-2013 01:48 AM

nice. well i figured id keep with the camaro theme. it might be weird to put a G8 or GTO dash in my camaro. I just started putting a new 2012 F450 superduty dash in my 86 F350 tow vehicle. But thats a whole other forum haha.

woodside783 02-28-2013 09:44 AM

Damn this is awesome

25thanniversary 10-30-2013 03:15 AM

What's the update on this bad boy?

Third-Gen 10-30-2013 03:23 AM

just getting the new shop up and running and trying to make a living at the same time. Its been sitting in storage for a while. Nothing too exciting to report. Im slowly building up my parts for the engine build, and hopefully by the end of the year we will have some dyno vids.
