best headers for a v6?

i have a 2012 lfx.. i was wondering what the best headers are for it? i heard a lot of good things about the doug thorley headers, any information would be nice.... could they bolt on or do they have to be welded on? how hard of an install is it? and do they change sound and or a little bit of hp? any check engine light issues? thanks

Lost count of how many of these threads I have come across on here. Still amazes me.

It doesn't matter. You can't put headers on your car. You have an LFX. Your exhaust manifold is integrated so you can't remove it to add headers. Best u can do is add high flow cats

and cat back exhaust.

Really need a sticky in the V6 LFX section that's titled "Why you can't add headers to your 2012+ Camaro v6" That would solve a majority of these repeat threads.

:word: you can add solo high flow cats and a nice Cat back or axle back and call it a day with the exhaust.

Wow what a major letdown.
I was looking forward to changing the whole exhaust system in the car. Oh well for now what can we do.

Why is it a let down?

The LFX comes from the factory with a header mod already done w/ HP gains....

At least that's how I look at it.

because well in my opinion it is a let down for the fact of the matter is that is one more thing that you can not change. Aren't aftermarket headers better for your engine ? the better the headers the less back pressure the engine has in thus adding more power to the car.
