Went Camaro Shopping Today :)
 

The wife and I took the Z06 out to the Oshawa plant to make some decisions on colours. Went there thinking of SIM or CGM and came home liking Black with White stripes! Tried to talk the security guard into letting us get closer, but she kept us on the wrong side of the fence :thumbdown:

black Camaro is classic papa. I am getting the CGM and almost went SIM. But I saw about 3 weeks back my first black Camaro and almost dropped. I love the CGM don't get me wrong. But the classic black is just so GQ. My dealership is getting a black on black next week exactly like the one I ordered except for ext and interior color ofcourse. I might get stuck to it. I dunno if it's the fact that I may get my Camaro earlier and I'm settling for black by lying to myself, or I just like the black that much. Guess we will have to see. But Black with White stripes, good pick.

For some reason I haven't seen many with silver stripes.

Does the Z06 stay or will you trade it ??

Thanks guys. I'm taking the Z06 in this week to get a trade in value on it...if the price is right, I'll sign the deal on the spot :)

Will it be a difficult decision to trade the Z06 for the Camaro ???
The reason I ask, is because I would have to sell my '04 coupe to get into a Camaro. I'm having a tough time deciding :mad0259:.

I've been a Camaro guy since I was 16, so that is really the car that I love most of all. However, the Z06 is a killer car and one that isn't easy to give up. A big part of my decision is the fact that the Camaro has 4 seats, so the kids can come along for a drive. I'm never comfortable with them in the front seat of the Z06 with the air bag turned off....

Was she elderly and shorter than 5', I tried to sweet talk my way past her but it was no use.

I'd say mid 50's with glasses. She was very nice and appologized a number of times for not being able to help out. I offered to give her the Z06 keys to hold as collateral, but she said if she let us out in the yard we would be trespassing. I then asked if she would dial the police very, very slowly while we looked at the cars...she just laughed!

Oh man anyone of those SIMS could be mine.... I WANT MY CAR

Just noticed you asking for directions in the other thread - I see you made it... My last post in the thread had em, I'm sure you found them no problem!

A month ago there were a LOT of cars held for QC, and lots all around were full. It was MUCH easier to get a close up look at cars then. Glad you got a glimpse through the fence at least!

Thanks Main. I didn't realize that the new ramp would end right at the plant...that was easy!

My black with white stripes is going to be delivered to Grimsby Ontario Monday so it must be at the head of the line or on a truck for the short trip. They told me that they have to put the stripes on when it comes in but I see one in your pictures with stripes on. You will be shocked at what they will offer for your Z06. I want to trade my Yukon in but they will only give me less then half of what I think its worth.

Please let me know if your car arrives on time as I'd love to take a peak at it before (or after) you pick it up. My sister lives in Grimsby, so I know the area well. Best of luck with your car!

I was hoping to be working close when I get the call that it has arrived but I will be out in your area , working on Royal Windsor drive. Wanted some shoots of it coming off the truck.
