SLP Customer/vendor service is POOR!

By now everybody knows SLP sold out their parts manufacturing and sales department. right? From what i read this sale wouldn't affect the Street Legal Performance department still controlled by Mr Hamburger. As a staple in the Camaro world, I didn't hesitate to spend way to much for a zl585 Camaro. As such I had a high expectation for customer service and initially I did! But when my Magnusson bearings went out at 5k miles I was treated well to get it rectified. But has gone down hill since!

Tow company wouldn't bill SLP so I payed out of pocket, not a lot of money but were talking about reputation and principle!!! The performance shop that did the work did a fantastic job and rushed the job for me to make an important fund raising cruise.

Now 3 months later I haven't been reimbursed and the local shop that did the awesome job on their warranty hasn't been payed either???

Is SLP really in dire straights and hurting more than we know???

Mr Hamburger knows???

Guess I just expect excellent customer service when my sticker was 65500?

Im eyeing a new toy and now im leaning towards Lingenfelter???

Hi Lyle,

Sorry for the inconvenience. We've been transitioning functions from our MI offices to our NJ offices and there have been some hiccups, but we're working on those issues.

We've notified the dealer principle and the bills have been paid as of this morning.

I purchased SLP ZL wheels from them a month ago and the service was excellent as well as the product's condition. I also purchased an SLP ZL blemished rear spoiler and it was hardly blemished. :thumb:

Thanks Mr. Hamburger for the reply and payment! Guess moving a company 1000 miles can reak havoc on communication and customer service!

Hope to see SLP around for a very long time!!!
