Who's going to mod their engines

I'm going to do something major to my Hemi, So who gonna mod and tweak their engines a bit, know yall not going to keep em stock...are yall

DGthe3 04-25-2008 12:11 PM

I don't plan on increasing my power, it will have enough from the factory to run down your mopar so why mess with success? Just jokin around. I might do some modding after owning it for a number of years but I doubt it.

I intend to slowly do bolt-ons here and there. Nothing that affects warranty or is obnoxious...just little things to make it my own. Possibly exhaust, definitely intake, maybe some other bolt-on stuff or cosmetics. Once the warranty is up? Who knows, but I'm a sucker for forced induction.

I plan on keeping mine stock (V8). But I am considering adding CAI and possibly exhaust.

radz28 04-25-2008 12:55 PM

I'm going to stay along the lines of what's been posted: intake, catback, pulley (if we can get a supercharger,) and tune.

PS - I don't hate on your HEMI ;)

Camaro_Corvette 04-25-2008 03:37 PM

depends if it comes witha supercharger on it then i'm probably gonna leave it alone. if it doesn't then mods will be ordered....

camaro1 04-25-2008 04:08 PM

i will be doing engine work right away along with tuning on the dyno, and rear end gearing

Mr. Wyndham 04-25-2008 04:19 PM

hmm...I'll be keeping it 100% bone-stock if I grab the V8 (99% probability :D)

But if I got the V6? I'd pray that Magnuson makes a model for the V6...if they don't, then I'd be going to STS Turbo systems to have them mock-up a system for me (if they don't have one already).:D

Wedgy 04-25-2008 04:51 PM

bone stock.....
till I get a little extra money that is... I plan on doing all the bolt ons, then a cam. if we get the ls3 that should put down around 460 to 470 rwhp I hope.

should be a beast

I wanna see what GM Performance Parts has to offer so I don't void my warranty. I'm deffinately going to put a sound system in, I want my son'bitch to thump!

GTAHVIT 04-25-2008 06:35 PM

One way or another I will have a supercharger. We do know that there is a test mule with a blower. So, I'm hoping for that. Pulley, cam and tune will be soon to follow...

Yeah, I don't hate on your Dodge either, I just want to beat it... ;):D Just Messin'

What fun is it having a Camaro if you don't tweak it a little.

Kyle2k 04-25-2008 06:49 PM

Ugh, this question makes me sad. It's going to be hard enough to afford the thing, let alone mod it. But, I have the feeling that my plans to mod " a little" will eventually turn in to a lot!

SSNIGHTMARE 04-25-2008 07:26 PM

If GM does their job and builds a gt 500 killer with 550 hp then I will only have to do a simple pulley swap and some programming.
