I like very much!

Another Thunder Struck!! They rock.

skar 09-02-2010 08:49 PM

? any drone at 2000rpm

KMPrenger 09-02-2010 08:56 PM

Needed another good example of the AMT, so I added this to the sticky thread. Nice!

USAFJeeper 09-02-2010 11:31 PM

I have not noticed any drone yet, course its a stick, so it may behave diff from on an automatic. I am loving the deep sound and getting worse gas mileage cause now I REALLY wanna stick my foot in it!

I have the same setup and an auto. I don't see the drone being that bad. Yeah there is some but you can only hear it with the radio off. It would be nice if there was none at all but it's not enough to make me even think about changing it. I have had it installed for around 7-8 months now and am still very happy with it.

devildoc 09-03-2010 05:20 AM

sounds great man!

2010CamaroRS 09-03-2010 08:31 AM

i was hoping ud let it sit longer so when you started it its like...WAAAAHHH...i love leaving mine sit for 6 or 7 hours while at work cuz when its time to leave...everyone knows when im outa the lot

i only hear drone below 2000rpm aka pre-mature shifting...but you are a dammed fool and a grandma if you drive below 2000...

i also read somewhere that our LTs run rich...which is true...riding 89 for 8 months i made the switch to 87 and im noticing a lot less SOOT accumiliating in the tips....glad someone pointed this out...

ur right about the gas mileage...i havent driven the car any different before or after exhaust ive noticed a 2mpg increase in gas mileage....holler

I did at first, but it has reduced a lot with the more miles I drive.

Victoryred69 09-03-2010 02:37 PM

Great choice! i love it feels like a new car sounds amazing get even more stares now!! and the MPG has gone up a bit considering i just wanna hear it always too :P

rmpackers 09-03-2010 03:32 PM

Very nice vid, can't wait to get mine installed. Thanks brother!

USAFJeeper 09-03-2010 04:34 PM

Drove it around town today a few miles. You remember that goofy grin you got when you first got in your new Camaro and realized you were there? That grin that comes unbidden... Well, it is happening even more now!

Cruising along a 4 lane highway on the way home, a guy in an older Z28 punched into his when he heard me go by! I still think mine sounded better! When I was getting it installed a SS was having the exact same exhaust put on. The guys at the shop and I agreed it did not do much for the SS, but on teh 2LT... Man it was really impressive with the difference.

As far as MPG, well, I will never get good gas mileage, I love punching into this car so much that I rarely get good gas mileage. Now that it sounds even more bad ass... well, I give up!

Greycamaroguy 09-04-2010 12:25 AM

Sounds nice but I'll take my JBA axle-back:D

USAFJeeper 09-04-2010 05:15 PM

I was torn between the MRT and the Flowmasters, then I realized that MRT stood for Mustang Racing Technology! I havent really heard the JBA, post a vid so I be jealous!

Rode it around today out shopping and cruising with wife. At 2000 rpm I finally realized what you guys are calling drone, I am calling what I paid for! I love the rumble!

vinman 09-04-2010 06:01 PM

Just got mine on yesterday, got the car on tuesday, loving it, sounds like a v8 at low rpms.:headbang:

jshaf 09-04-2010 07:57 PM

dude, the exact setup I am getting in the spring of next year, Injen and Flowmaster AT, sounds awesome!!

chozn4service 09-14-2010 08:52 PM

Sweet! I think the Flowmaster AT is some of the best money you can spend for a mod. I know mine really sounds good and strong! The fact that those galvanized cans are gone and a much nicer tip is just an added feature.

chicagobulls 01-01-2011 01:02 AM

is the american thunder flowmaster exhaust really loud at idle

im looking for something not too loud but louder and deeper rumble at idle and definitley louder than stock and im definitley gunna get either mrt v1 or v2 or at flowmasters

cmcghee559 01-01-2011 10:34 AM

Flowmaster Muffler Cost??
What does it cost??

chicagobulls 01-01-2011 11:36 AM

on auto anything its 390 shipped

chozn4service 01-01-2011 12:07 PM

I got mine form back in February for $325 delivered. Obviously the demand caused a slight increase. I still think its the best bang for the bucks! I like the sound and look of the tips and its only gotten better with time. No drone and the inside cabin is right! I don't think you can go wrong with this axle back. They, all exhaust sound loud initially on start up but it idles down and has a nice low rumble. I know the last Meet & Greet we had at Hare Chevrolet last July, when I arrived everyone thought I had a V8 based upon the sound but when I told them I was a V6 they were surprised and asked what I did to change the sound. Its all Flowmaster A.T.

chicagobulls 01-02-2011 02:21 AM

yeah im definitley going with the at flowmaster since i emailed mrt 2 times about something 2 weeks ago and no response

not bashin their product just their customer support

a red maro 01-02-2011 02:38 AM

yeah I've had the American thunder axelback for bout 6-7 months and I'm not noticing any drone on my car, but then again I'm hardly ever riding around with my radio off. added a ROTO-FAB CAI and it sounds even deeper and a bit louder also.

As far as gas mileage it's improved a bit, i think, honestly I'm like you guys i can't keep my foot off the gas to notice any improvement in gas mileage lol. But the sound will only get better as you add on more mods to your car.

Revo1 01-02-2011 02:49 AM

Nice! Sounds good, even Ratdog was transfixed!
