I love these photos, but it just made me notice how much our stupid front tags kill the car

Hydro FROG 01-13-2009 07:37 PM

WOW!

drivingincamaro 01-13-2009 07:39 PM

What the hell is this there are 3, 69 camaro's in that pic.

Tran who are you trying to fool :paddle:

jk its awesome to see how much the camaro looks like his older generations :drool:

DurKNesS 01-13-2009 07:42 PM

It looks good. Needed the dovetail spoiler.... :) I'm out on the new stripes on the 2010. Definitely needed to go atleast over the back spoiler. Who ever I buy my car from is going to have to hook me up with some vinyl to go front to back.

TJ91 01-13-2009 07:43 PM

Looks so close, yet so different, they really went above and beyone with this one

TheMadHatter99 01-13-2009 07:43 PM

Beautiful pictures. If only it could have been a RJT w/ one of the white stripe combos...that would've been gorgeous.

PS- Seeing this pictures have convinced me, no way in hell will I be putting the front license plate on mine when I get her. I just don't care to have the front ruined like that.

zebra 01-13-2009 08:48 PM

nice :bump: for these pics, Tran!

i still can't get over how gorgeous these cars are!

Eisenhower 01-13-2009 08:53 PM

Wow! That would be a great day to have all three together!

Caliman93230 01-13-2009 09:03 PM

thank you sir for these awesome photos.

69 Hugger 01-13-2009 10:02 PM

Nice pics, looking at them all side by side you can see the 68 fender lines and the 69 quarter lines in the new one. Nice going GM, it will be worth the wait.

RT21 01-13-2009 10:12 PM

True that...

But I still think the the 2010 looks more like the '68. And I love to '68 more than the '69. Don't hate. Just the way it is. :headbang:

Natural evolution of the design. 100% modern, but you can't mistake the family resemblance. Absolutely gorgeous...these shots make me appreciate what the designers did for the '10 model even more.

...and you know, it doesn't look that much bigger than the '69s. I mean, it didn't seem big while I was next to it, but still that's cool that it's so similar in size. The '67 - '69s were the perfect size 2+2 coupe, imo.

Absolutely. And thank you. :coolpics:

IMO seeing it with real 1st Gen Camaro's just shows how non-retro the 5th Gen really is.

Retro-inspired cues yes, but it really has only a passing resemblance to it's predecessors.

TheCavalry 01-13-2009 11:16 PM

Damn. that was a nice set of pix

I think they made it as retro as they could for 2009.

UCF w00t 01-14-2009 12:02 AM

A modern retelling of a classic epic.

SScattergunSS 01-14-2009 06:57 AM

It really NEEDS the dovetail spoiler now!!! Enjoyed the photos, thanks.

My comment wasn't a complaint by any means. I'm not a big fan of the whole retro thing at all really. I think the fact that they managed to design a vehicle that looks 100% new, but still has a couple touches that give it a retro 'flair' is fantastic.

zebra 01-14-2009 09:30 AM

it's definitely better than just recreating the 1970 model, only heavier & having the same interior as 2 or 3 other current sedans
