Found a box of stuff on the porch today!

The next install starts this weekend (if I don't have to work)!

Intake and brake ducts going in under the front of the lower facia along with some extra supports for the splitter. Hope I can make it all fit! LOL!

Of course... I should have the first parts done and posted Saturday nite.

Beauwulf 01-16-2011 06:40 PM

Well, I got the brake ducts all done this weekend. Don't have all the parts (or the time) to do the air intake tubes yet. Maybe next weekend.

Total cost: $110
Install time: 12 hours

Here's the nozzle and hole in the dust shield

Seen from above:

The intake duct installed. I had to do some trimming to the radiator deflector to get this in the spot I wanted it.

Routing on the left side was a bit tight! Right side was OK.

I still have to do the air intake and the extra supports for the splitter...

More to come!

Are you road racing your car on regular basis.:iono:

mrray13 01-16-2011 09:15 PM

Looking good. Can't wait to see pics with splitter installed.

craigd853 01-16-2011 09:36 PM

Way to much money for the amount of horsepower your putting out. If you have a turbo then i apologize in advance. I'm not even sure an SS needs this if they don't road race. Like the Mods but why spend that money on brakes unless ur going to make the car faster. Especially with the PFADT springs and shocks?

2010 SSRS 01-16-2011 09:42 PM

awesome job

danhr 01-16-2011 09:46 PM

If it came down to a race in the tighter twisties between you and Beauwulf, I'd most likely put all my money on Beauwulf. There's a lot more to "real" racing than having the biggest motor/most HP. Though it certainly helps, it's far from the most important.

First off, the coil overs are Pedders. There is a TT in the works M8. I've raced motorcycles for many years (and at a professional level) and I just like to do these kind of projects. Why this particular one.. I went into turn 17 at Sebring and the brakes went to the floor! :confused0068: That's why! LOL!

Getting ready to.. yes! I'd like to do some Time Attack racing this year. That depends on the TT kit from API to be really competitive. I'm a little too chicken with the car yet to do head-to-head racing...

Extinct 01-17-2011 09:01 AM

Keep up the awesome work....don't care what motor is under the hood, you've definetly got an awesome Camaro!!!!

See ya on the road,
Matt

Sounds like a nice project wolf. the pics are gone from my link. Think its a work thing. They have had this site and all other social sites blocked. New HR Girl :( and some internet "rules". Prolly for good reason. Better get back at it...................

rtcat600man 01-17-2011 10:10 AM

Very nice looking set-up. I am sure this will help keep those brakes :w00t:

SSOOCH 01-17-2011 10:13 AM

Wow that's a lot of work!

Demon Hunter 01-17-2011 11:20 AM

Looking good wolf!

jagan323 01-17-2011 01:02 PM

lol, i resent people who think the V6 shouldn't be racing. I've seen V6 Camaros beat V8 on an Autocross track. It all depends on the application. Drag racing? V8 would possibly win, but when it comes to full control, braking, acceleration, turning, shifting, the V6 has just as much chance to "win" as the V8. I admire Beauwulf, I wish i had the time and money to be racing all the time =D

Beauwulf, do you have a link or thread that shows all of your suspension mods? I would like to take a look and see what your setup is like =p I was hoping for Pedders Xa coils and their swaybar kit soon. =D
