Mail Slot for the V6
 

does anyone out there know if there is any way possible to somehow get the "mail slot" for the v6. my plan was to get the SS but the insurance will be INSANE!!!. so i might have to settle for the 2LT/RS with ground effects. the plan was to get the Knight Rider "KITT" scanner inside the mail slot. yes i said it. no i will not be driving with it on. just thought it would add to the effect. feel free to bust my chops.

One of two ways, buy the parts and have them installed and painted, or find someone onhere with an SS that likes the V6 nose better and swap... if you can find someone with the same color car you wouldn't even have to get it painted...

The KITT lights are illegal. You can't have strobing, blinking, etc. lights that are red on the front of a vehicle.

EDIT: Didn't see that you won't drive it with them on.

300 hp v-6 is'nt going to be that much less when it comes to insurance. it's still rated a high performance car.

What about a solid non-moving blue light, is that illegal? I think that could be cool, and not as cheesy.

If the police or emergency vehicles use blue lights on their cars it would be Illegal... I know it is in Tennessee.. only white or amber are legal for the front of the vehicles here. (I know HID lighting is usually blue, but if it is factory installed it is legal.)

They put the mail slot on the V8 only for a reason. Just my opinion but don't try to immitate. Either buy the V8 or keep the V6 front end.

Come on man... Good Guy i'm with you..us 30 year olds who grew up watching KnightRider have to stick together. I'm going to get the KnightRider GPS system. KITT's voice tells you "turn left, Michael" or you can change to preprogrammed names. Check it out!!

I like the KITT idea for those that remember those Knight Riders times.
