Do you really want a Boss Killer, aka Z28???

Let's hear it!!!
Number 3 is already questioning the lack of post in the Z28 section.
Don't think for a minute that GM doesn't pay attention and consider the forum a free study in marketability. My background is in marketing and I'd kill for information like this.

C'mon let's get on the bandwagon!!!

Camaro21 03-29-2011 08:37 PM

I would love to have a Z28 if they came back, but I already have a Boss Killer !!

chd1 03-29-2011 08:38 PM

i already got a Boss killer

Mr Twisty 03-29-2011 08:48 PM

The ZL1 probably stole half the Z/28 bunch... the rest of us just don't talk much, unless we're in-car bitchin' at the driver in front of us to move over

Crowley 03-29-2011 08:53 PM

I'd like to see a Z/28 come out on a lighter platform ...

I would like to get a Z28, the ZL1 is probably going to be out of my price range

SpeedDemon21 03-29-2011 09:19 PM

I would like to see a Z/28

Toyaholic 03-29-2011 09:26 PM

The Z-28 should be a little more cost effective. The ZL1 is expected to be $60k. Nice ride, I would love one.... But that's a chunk of change!

Give us track handling, power and a reasonable price! Oh, yeah... and that sexy Camaro styling.

Jcobra 03-29-2011 09:30 PM

Make it look like a road racer like the SSX

I agree.
I'm guessing about $10,000. Difference between a ZL1 and a Z28. I'll take the Z28.
A lot of people who are planning to buy ZL1 are going to change their mind when the actual price is announced.

:word:

With the economy the way it is there will be used ZL1's in the for sale thread.

If you're looking for a used and abused one that is.

Put the Z/28 between the SS and ZL1.

Please don't put that butt ugly hood on it.

The question should be, do ppl really want a Z28 model or not?

IMO, some of you guys just want this car because Ford brought out the Boss 302. Now yall want GM to respond and bring back the Z28. Just so you can say GM has a Camaro model that competes with Fords Boss 302. When 1st and foremost, GM needs the ZL1 to sell very well before even considering another Camaro model. JMHO!

I wanted a Z/28 before the ZL1 or the Boss came out.

coolman 03-29-2011 11:06 PM

To me let the ZL1 shine for now. The Z/28's day will come.

Try $80000 + MSRP of the Camaro itself.
It's on their (SLP's) website.

91Z28350 03-30-2011 12:07 AM

You did miss something. the Zl1 you are referring to is the SLP ZL1, not the GM ZL1. You can see SLP's press release regarding the new Chevrolet ZL1 on SLP's website.

Supercamaro64 03-30-2011 12:15 AM

yes please, z28 please! :D

xEzekial 03-30-2011 12:17 AM

See!! I knew there was a reason I should have been more active on the forums!
:bonk:

mikeSS 03-30-2011 01:04 AM

all i know is that GM has to step up there game, and make a camaro actually be able to handle a turn. the 5.0L can compete with M3 on the turns and in a straight line stock. and then they made the GT500 lighter, and now the BOSS. i no longer call mustangs muscle cars. they are sports cars. GM WHERE ARE YOU!

Almost like it's his job.

LostInMoscow 03-30-2011 04:30 AM

The only reason I'd buy a Z28 over a ZL1 would be if they put an LS7 in it and put it on a diet, but left the PTM, MSRC and the other handle great stop fast goodies. Other than that, I'll go with a ZL1. I don't want a track car.

Dreamer2430 03-30-2011 06:41 AM

Well, I really like what I saw in the SSX. If GM were to make the Z28 something along that line with a stroked and bored motor and if it was still cost effective for them to produce I would be all for it.

Is the Boss a model that is going to be part of the "regular" line up for Mustang fans or is it just a special order kind of car? I would think that I Ford decided to make it part of the regular line up that would make the possibility of a Z28 much more likely.

bada 03-30-2011 07:28 AM

I would like a Z/28 with the LS7 motor. But with the LSX block & the LSX-DR heads. On a lighter platform, much lighter. I got shot down, when I said this the last time, by you guys. But Thats what I would want, If I had a choice. I maybe dreaming. But I am 60 years old and I would like one last Bad ASS car while I can still enjoy it. With that block & head combo. You could do your own performance up grades to it. Turbos, supercharger, or NOS ETC!!!.
