Yeah! Come on guys.

I'm not sure where we are in the ET list for the event, but we ran an 11.23 @ 121.5 MPH yesterday morning. This is naturally-aspirated with a stock L99 short-block, Precision Race Components cylinder heads, and our TSP VVT3 camshaft. :)

i was watching a bunch this afternoon and they were mostly in the 12's and 13's. i saw one guy in the 11's
of course it was also 2pm and over 90 degrees

I saw only two cars hit 11s in the 2 days of the event....
My best ET at the event was 12.04 IT WAS HOT!!

But had a lot of fun!

I hit 11.9 street tires

bossbunny 04-16-2011 10:37 PM

Owen Priest from Houston Tx had the fastest time with a 10.7 with his SIM LSX build.

No shade. No breeze. It was hot, but it wasn't near the same as last years fest. A lot more people ran their car last year. As for the big guys, they either didn't run or had problems.

Well thats a bummer! I figured there would be a lot of 8 and 9 second runs!!

As I mentioned in the other thread, the DA was 3800 ft. yesterday afternoon at Firebird Raceway.
That will make a car run about .5 - .6 tenths slower than a cool day at sea level.

I think they need to have Camaro5fest at a low elevation track during a cool weather month. Then we'll see some fast times.

If you were there I bet we would have seen at least one nine second pass!

The quick 16 was turned into a bracket race because of the huge discrepancy in ET's. They didn't feel that it would be fair. So, the quickest 16 had to put a dial-in on their car.

I saw the black Lingenfelter car run 9.90 on Friday, no nitrous, but after that they were having serious traction issues.
