Back on January 18th, Rick Hendrick bid and won an auction for the #1 production slot for the 2010 Camaro (see: http://www.camaro5.com/?p=441). Today, he traveled all the way to GM's Oshawa plant to personally take delivery of his car, a black 2010 Camaro. Some Camaro5.com members were there to document this exciting occassion! :w00t:

Notice on the door label the date of Manufacture is March. The car was probably made a week ago. The windsheild label has the same " NOT FOR SALE " as the hundreds out on the grounds.

Love that color combo.

Take a GOOD pic at night of that interior for us, Hendrick!

Hendricks car looks great can't get over the paint,I hope all the paint looks that slick. Great job GM

It would be nice to know what options this car has. From what I can figure out it looks to be a 2SS/RS with polished alluminum wheels, and orange accent interior. It does not look like it has a sunroof, and obviously there are no stripes. Not sure if it has the body colored engine covers as there are no pictures of the engine.

Congratulations Mr. Hendricks. I hope to have the same feeling you had soon!

Beautiful but i'd prefer the IOM SS right next to it :iono:

The sunroof is there, you have to look very closely to see it though.

They stopped work on the car last friday. While the workers in Oshawa are good, they can't go from start to finish (assemble the body, paint it, install everything, and conduct quality control inspections) in under 5 hours.

It has a sunroof, its hard to see tinted glass on a black roof, but you'll also notice that you don't see the reverse mohawk.

Way to go Mr. H one of the still true Americian owners and by the way tell Dale Jr to pick the pace up.

Scott said it takes 4 days to build a single car. 80zedder added this...

Actually it only takes 8 hours to build a vehicle once it leave the paintshop. 24 hours in total per car is what we shoot for, were usually under that as well.
