Camaros in So Cal Dealship Showrooms?

Well I drove all the way up to the LA auto show back in December(?) and I thought I was going to be able to sit in a Camaro. I was sadly disappointed (although it had a crowd around it that rivaled the Ferrari exhibit!!!)

Does anyone in So Cal know of any dealerships in Southern California (from San Diego to Los Angeles) that has a Camaro in the showroom that will let me sit in the car. I have finally finished up swapping out my tired LS1 (in my 1998 Z28) for a GM Replacement and don't mind putting a few miles on it to break it in.

Nope. I've been keeping an eye out but no news.
Talked to the Bakersfield dealer and they won't have their showroom car untill late April.

Yeah, haven't heard anything myself. And I got moles in a few areas checking for me. I to was totally bumed when I couldn't sit in the camaro in LA.

UCI CamaroFan 03-19-2009 01:26 AM

My dealer in Orange said that they would call me when they got their first car in, so that I could actually look at one in person.

gunslinger 03-19-2009 12:56 PM

Well, keep this thread updated.

When I see some of the Camaro5 members sitting in the cars, I wish I could sit in one myself.

Nothing in So.CaL .......Crazy....But for those members in So Cal that want a good dealership I swear by Scott Sr. at Paradise Chevrolet.(1-805-642-0111) This is not an ad. I Just have not had any of the problems that many members have Had. He is one of the good ones.

I'm waiting for Foothill Ranch Chevy to get the black 1SS/RS that I ordered but canceled because they would not give me MSRP. According to the tracking thread the car has a VIN.

MRK III Z28 04-09-2009 10:34 PM

Well according to the tracking thread there is one close to me in Costa Mesa, i go check it out tm if i can.

UCI CamaroFan 04-10-2009 10:48 AM

Yeah? Do you know which dealership in costa mesa? I don't know where that dealer tracking thread is...

Iwantone2 04-10-2009 02:39 PM

barfman 04-14-2009 12:33 PM

all the dealerships i've contacted said they'd be getting one in the next couple weeks so i guess it's right around the May 6th date..we'll all just have to wait and see

2010SSRSM6 04-21-2009 03:52 PM

Bob Stall in La Mesa (San Diego area) is expecting one this week. Also, Powers in Irvine said they would be getting one "Any day now".

I just got a call from Dwight at Foothill Ranch Chevy, they just received two Camaros. Dwight didn't mention which cars they were but according to the spreadsheet, they are 2LT, Automatic, Rally Yellow (most likely demo car) and 2SS, Manual, Victory Red.

I'm going to stop by after work and see if they are in the showroom or not.

Milk 1027 04-22-2009 06:46 PM

A little far away from where I'll be this weekend.

There is one in Pomona at Rancho Chevrolet V6 for 1900.00 over MSRP

Tustin Chevrolet has a red 1LT rs in their showroom. It looks freaking sweet! They got it this morning and someone bought it already, lucky guy. Too bad they're selling at $2500 over msrp for the v6 and $5000 over for the v8 <= how effing lame is that?!?!

Riverside Auto Mall has a Rally Yellow 2LT sitting on the showroom floor. They aren't letting the "owner" take it until they get another car to park in its place. :paddle:
