boxmonkeyracing 07-31-2011 04:24 PM

just a simple typo. i did the bluetooth upgrade and brought it in for the dealership to upgrade the bcm. was just going over the paper again looking for a part number and noticed the typo.

PETRA 07-31-2011 05:00 PM

maybe they are stupid enough to think all camaro's are Z28's and you are not the first with this typo... just a thought.

Angrybird 12 07-31-2011 05:05 PM

Ok I'll say it...
:idiot:

2010 SSRS 07-31-2011 05:18 PM

the Z28 is real, lol

NoSloSS 07-31-2011 05:22 PM

Not suprising here. Most car dealers here are known for shady practices. i.e. overcharging for vehicles and service. American Greed. Although I bought both my cars through Cutter, but I worked the salesman to death to get a deal. Now both my cars are worth more than what I owe which includes my 11 2SS/RS

Well since you apparently have a rare 2011 Camaro Z28 that isn't even released yet, you should trade it in to your dealership for $100,000 and then buy a few "regular" Camaros. :sm0:

hardest part is getting the box. once you've got that, the rest is easy.

It's not the dealer's fault...the program they use is called ADP...same one I use at work. All you do is put the VIN in and it brings up the car info automatically. Someone at the software company made the mistake; I'll bet if I put that VIN in my computer here at work the same thing would come up.

I bought a 98 Sunfire new, and when I got the papers and tried to register it the papers said SUNBIRD, and I couldn't get it registered or insurance.. because there was no 98 Sunbird made.

When i told them about the problem they said that it has not been changed from Sunbird to Sunfire in their computer.. What the hell was there problem? The last Sunbird was sold in 1994. Why was it still called Sunbird in their computer 4 years later???? Surely someone else had the same problem before me.

Am I missing something here? In the older days the Z28 was the base V8 Camaro and the SS was the more expensive slightly faster model.
What makes a Z28 better than the SS? Sorry- newbie here and I've been out of the domestic muscle crowd for a while obviously. :iono:

sasquash1984 08-03-2011 02:37 PM

Looks like z28 was base v8 then ss was upgrade package with extra 15 hp stock back in 2001
