Sound of gas sloshing around?
I swear I hear the sound of the gas in the gas tank moving around when I come to stops. Is this normal? This is my first "low" car as I've only had trucks and jeeps before so many I'm just not used to it? It seems to only be recently I've noticed it.

Normal.
Turn up the radio or get a different exhaust. :) |
I have a hell of a time keeping gas in the tank with this car. That combined with a radio and a wife that never stops talking, I don't have (or notice) this problem. :)
Seriously though, a few have complained about similiar things. The tanks have no dividing slabs in them to stop the gas from moving around, so if you stop to fast on a half a tank without a radio on and the windows down, you will most likely hear it. Nothing to be worried about, just anoying. |
Sounds good, thanks for the info. I'm getting ready to install a new exhaust so that should fix the issue

I hear this always while I'm easing the car into the garage. Normal.

We should all praise GM's engineering of this car that is built quiet enough that you can hear the gas moving in the tank.
I am very impressed with the depth and attention to detail the engineers put into this car. |

I have a friend that has a new Jeep Grand Cherokee that has the same problem. Chrysler started adding baffles and he's getting a new gas tank. What is GM doing about our problems with this? Anyone in the know?
