Hot Rod Camaro Survey

Found this on Hot Rod's website. Very cool...:burnrubber:

Hot Rod's Camaro Survey
As you may have seen in our November issue, we have created this survey to gauge reader opinion on what you want in the new Camaro, and how much you’re willing to pay for it. Will GM listen? Maybe, maybe not, but at least we can say we tried. We’ll compile all the results and deliver them to the higher-ups at Chevrolet in person, and also print them in the magazine.

So let’s hear from you. How would you order your new Camaro?

Here is the scan of the actual magazine article. You can print out this survey and send it in as well.

Sweet. I took the survey as well.

BlacLac02 09-12-2006 02:57 PM

i just got done. i like all the options it had except for the 5.3 v8 i dontthink that will even come close to being a production motor for it. i do like the 6.0, 7.0, and the supercharged version. hopefully someone of higher ranking in gm actually sees that survey and does something with it

matthewmiller01 09-12-2006 05:27 PM

They don't come in until late September. Read details on Chevymall under the diecast listing, or read the above thread.

Moose 09-13-2006 09:25 AM

I completed the survey as well.

And, ordered the diecast myself, while my brother ordered the billboard posters for my birthday. I don't expect to see the diecast anytime soon, but no posters yet either.

Done!

I built up a nice LS7 naturally aspirated "YELLOW" toy...

Just can't get away from yellow cars! :D

ZL1 all the way. hugger orange with black stripes. heads up display 6 speed. yess yesss yess

jbynum69 09-13-2006 08:08 PM

took mine and hope gm reads our posts and gives the stripped package as an option!!!

TAG UR IT 09-13-2006 11:35 PM

I wonder how many times you can take the survey...let's see..."LS7? Check. LS7? Check. Did I check off that LS7? Oh, and I would pay less than $5000 extra for that option? hehe...

BlacLac02 09-14-2006 08:58 AM

yeah right. if it were that cheap i think just about everyone would do it. its going ot be a good 15- 20 over the price of a base model. if the base model is around 23, look for the ls7 to be about 43-45. and ill pay it. still cheaper than a vette

TAG UR IT 09-14-2006 12:46 PM

It was a joke, Blac (skewing the #'s???). Obviously, the LS7 will be more expensive. BUT, it won't be priced just a few thousand less than a vette. Come on! You might as well just buy a vette, then!

Tran 09-14-2006 10:37 PM

Here's the actual magazine article. If you want you can just print out the survey and send it in by mail also.

I've also added this to the first post in this thread.

Did my Survey this morning. Can't wait until it's here!

$anani 09-15-2006 02:46 AM

i like those back lights way better then the other ones on the concept.

TAG UR IT 09-15-2006 02:57 AM

Those hide-away headlights on the RS look killer! :eyebulge:

I'd pick that option in a heartbeat! I'd also like to see different options on two tone leather seats...kinda like the black/red combo.

Totally agree those look great! What are the chances GM puts something like that in tho if it's not already in the concept car? Seems like production cars are always dumbed down, not fancied up :(

TAG UR IT 09-15-2006 01:30 PM

I hate being so pessimistic about this, but everytime they offer up something that could be another option, that's one more addition to the assembly line...which equals a higher cost for GM. Granted they will make their money back, but cost vs. production, I think GM would be able to pump out more cars making more money, than having to stop the assembly line and reprogram all the machines to add specific items. Once again, I'd buy those hideaways in a hearbeat. there's always aftermarket if GM doesn't do it!!!

BlacLac02 09-15-2006 02:30 PM

i liek the hide aways with the LED in it. very sleek looking. and yes im sure a 427 camaro would be cheaper than the loaded vette with out the z06 package. a vette loaded with everything is like 55+. the camaro with a 427 will definately be cheaper than that. the z06 is selling for 65,000. and the odds are the camaro will not have the suspension technology as the vette does and all the other things that come with the z06 package..... cross drilled slotted rotors, the wheels and tires(over 5,000 alone) wider fenders, upgraded calipers, and the suspension on that hting is amazing( good couple g's in that)
