GM just released some actual photos of the carbon edition ZL1 and they actually show a pic of the exposed fiber hood and of the carbon fiber rear spoiler with stainless steel wicker bill. Enjoy!!

Here's the info again:

Camaro ZL1 Carbon Concept

Welcome to the dark side of Camaro ZL1. This concept incorporates all the technology and performance of the Camaro ZL1 – which goes on sale in 2012 – but with an added layer of carbon fiber to add a decidedly sinister-looking element of form to a car that’s all about function. Included on this concept is the new Ashen Gray exterior paint (available on all 2012 Camaro models).

Vehicle highlights:
  • Chevrolet Accessories exposed-weave carbon fiber “Mohawk” hood insert
  • Carbon fiber rear spoiler with stainless-steel wicker bill
  • Carbon fiber inserts on the interior door and instrument panel
  • Lightweight 20x10-inch (front) and 20x11-inch (rear) wheels in satin black with machined faces
  • Brembo® six-piston front calipers, with two-piece front rotors, and four-piston rear calipers (Chevrolet Official Licensed Product)
  • Magnetic Ride Control
  • Dual exhaust outlets with active exhaust and diffuser
  • Jet Black leather interior with sueded microfiber seat inserts and Torch Red stitching
  • ZL1 short-throw shifter with suede and carbon fiber-trimmed shift knob
  • Suede-trimmed flat-bottom steering wheel
  • ZL1 pedals
“This concept’s dramatic appearance matches the extreme performance capabilities of the Camaro ZL1,” said Tony Roma, program engineering manager for the Camaro ZL1. “And even if its styling doesn’t intimidate you, its performance on the track will.”

Wow, I truly hope that someday they offer this up as an optional package....

IOMZL1 10-31-2011 02:12 PM

I like the spoiler. I wish this was a 2012 Option. The 10 spoke wheels looked better. Still wondering if that carbon hood insert is darker than the one the production vehicles will get.

RLHMARINES 10-31-2011 02:15 PM

I can see this as a new for 2013 option for some of us who may not be able to acquire a 2012 ZL1 due to a short model year run of cars being available.

Scarrzz 10-31-2011 02:17 PM

.

If they made it available as an option on ZL1 before they start production, I would order it.

Looks Bad@$$.

I LOVE the wheels that way.

Is this the real Ashen Grey?

.

LAWMAN 10-31-2011 02:20 PM

i like everything about it,i even like these wheels as opposed to 10 spoke, really look good with sontrasting paint same as car,in my opinion, everyone has their own taste,

Revo1 10-31-2011 02:20 PM

Cool! I want ZL1 spoiler....

Joebot8484 10-31-2011 02:26 PM

WOW, that looks great. I wonder how "rare" these will be?

shank0668 10-31-2011 02:27 PM

I want one.
Looks great!

tramtwo 10-31-2011 02:31 PM

TaylorRyanSS 10-31-2011 02:33 PM

 I wanna see the inside carbon parts!

Rice Killer 10-31-2011 02:39 PM

Love the ashen gray. I'm second guessing myself now..

Harley1 10-31-2011 02:46 PM

My next Camaro whenever it becomes available..

armysig 10-31-2011 02:47 PM

Wow, that looks great. It sure is going to be fun seeing that car on the road.

DITCHDIGGER 10-31-2011 02:51 PM

That car looks wicked!

MyCamaroZL1 10-31-2011 02:54 PM

This is EXACTLY what i want! Its perfect. Well, almost. Maybe some minor changes. To hell with paying $5-25k over msrp now with so many unknowns. I'll wait for 2013 model with more options. So, thats ashen gray? Look a little darker than the vert version ashen gray. Hmmm.

radz28 10-31-2011 02:55 PM

OMG... That is all...

DITCHDIGGER 10-31-2011 02:57 PM

I like the break calipers too!

xVengeancex28 10-31-2011 03:02 PM

the carbon fiber looks awesome, love those rims too. I need to win the lottery lol

Modern07 10-31-2011 03:10 PM

The 10 spoke rims were definitely better......

Come on GM - add an option for Machined SSX wheels!!!

OldScoolCamaro 10-31-2011 03:10 PM

I am so glad I picked ashen gray. It even has shades of what apears to be a dusk blue in it from the first picture with the CF hood. Perfect Chevy, that's the special color folks! Game over..... :chevy:

I only have one thing to say,or I guess one thing to do...........

 (Drool!)

And as much as I love my Inferno Orange,I think the Carbon Edition would only look good in one of two colors.......Black,and Ashen Gray.
