I like seeing the difference with and without launch control. Very telling.

Z4me 03-19-2012 08:19 AM

Sweet thx for sharing.

stikSS 03-19-2012 08:31 AM

Launch control didn't do much imo... Guess its hard to keep all Chevy HP under control!

radz28 03-19-2012 09:14 AM

SWEET!!!

Campisano was a Ford guy, too, not much more than 7-9 years ago... :) I remember when he was producing articles for GMHTP and High Tech Performance. He's one of the few magazine-guys who's opinions I trust ;)

LAWMAN 03-19-2012 09:30 AM

Nice!

Yeah, the launch control videos didn't show me much but it was a wet surface. Does the launch control system account for wet conditions?

Yes - there are modes that feature wet conditions :) That looked more like no LC, lol.

Mother of god, that interview was pretty sweet.

obrut 03-19-2012 12:18 PM

So even GM wont use launch control on dry pavement?

Dznts 03-19-2012 12:21 PM

great videos

Bad@ssCamaro 03-19-2012 12:24 PM

:iono:I couldn't tell the difference between the two videos for the Launch
Control other than the guy at the wheel looked like he had a hard time getting it set and the one in the passenger seat is trying to help him out - fail :sm0:

Thanks for sharing. It looks like a DYI oil change is going to be a little tricky. Hopefully that cover has QD's to drop it out of the way.

jsharp 03-19-2012 06:36 PM

Wheel hop pretty good

I don't think that was wheel hop, if you are talking about the third video. It is launch control trying to keep traction on wet pavement. Look at the second video it is without launch control, it just blows the wheels off all the way until he gets out of it.

jsharp 03-19-2012 08:55 PM

Good catch

ken53007 03-19-2012 09:36 PM
