Thinking of selling my 69 RS/SS

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/p...ictureid=30767

Looking to sell my '69 RS/SS camaro. It is a black plate, white with orange stripes (under the clear) restomod RS/SS. As far as I know it is a true RS/SS. It was a Van Nuys build so it's hard to tell but I was told the 12 bolt is original to the car and it is my understanding that 12 bolt rears only came with the SS. I searched for this car for a year and bought it from a guy in Chico, CA who owned the car for 30 years before restoring it. I have his receipts which are over $60k (that does not include the car itself) and mine which are close to $10k. Based on his documentation, the paint alone was over $20k. I would be asking around $47k. Just sent the car to have the radio sorted (installing a dedicated sub amp, Dynomat, and a couple of extra speakers among other things) and the car rewired. Rather than chase a short, I'm having my guy rewire the whole car. So, the new owner will have a freshly wired car and a sorted audio system. :)

Here's the list of the build from the guy I bought the car from. I have since installed the FAST EZ-EFI fuel injection system as the carb was a menace on hot days. It now runs great and starts immediately with the turn of the key. I have also spent a grip of cash fixing odds and ends over the last few years. You could not build this car for the price.

Let me know if you are interested and I will get you some more pics. Title in hand and in no hurry to sell. Inspection welcome and encouraged since we are dealing with a 40 year old muscle car. I'm in Los Angeles.

Thanks,
Matt

You will REALLY REGRET selling that beautiful car. If I had $47k I would ruin your day and buy it.

DO NOT SELL.

A BEAUTY FOR SURE

What a beautiful car.I know how you feel.I sold my 56 Chevy wagon a few years back (wife got sick).Things got better and bought my 2010 camaro knowing I could just get in it and drive it.Not have to worry about it getting wrecked ,stolen, and having to work on it.It hurt for awhile ,but every time I climb in the camaro I realize I made the right decision.Best of luck to you and whom ever gets it will surely get a gem.

Yeah, I'm still on the fence. It took a long while to find this car but I would sell it if the right buyer came along. I've had casual offers at car shows, gas stations, etc... but never really thought about selling until lately. I drive the kids to school in it occasionally and to the local Supercar Sunday event most weeks. I bought the car with 250 miles on the restoration and it now has a little over 2k since I bought it 2 years ago. It's a fun ride that gets a ton of attention!

I wish. If I put any more money into this car I will have to be buried in it (because my wife will kill me!)

Thanks. It's funny. I thought that the first thing I would do to the car would be to change the wheels but I get so many compliments on them, I can't imagine the car with anything else. :)

Man, those cars look great together. I wish I had an old nice one like that to match mine. I can't believe you want to sell it but if you must, you must. Good luck.

Thanks. If anyone wants to keep them together, I would be willing to sell them as a set. :)
