Hey, I know that spot.

In 13 days I'll be back in Southern California. No more sunshine challenged horsepower depraved England for me. Woohoo.

By the way, I love how we qualify as our own region.

Somewhere around my rear tires - every time I do a hard start, I see a lot of smoke in the rear view mirror… :iono:

Just kidding!

I believe that the fires in Southern California have been pretty much contained, including the recent one in Malibu. There weren't any local ones, thus yet, so far… The last one that happened locally was in Angeles Crest (the site of my GTO photo) and I believe that was about a year and a half ago. When we get the Santa Ana wind condition, the air is very dry and all it takes is a random spark or some idiot to get a blaze going.

Wow quite a few yay area folks. We should try to set up a cruise. Hwy 9 to 84 to Hwy 1 anyone?

bsmithinc 03-18-2008 12:11 PM

As long as we stear clear the 80, 238 Interchange, 580/680 interchange, and last but not least the 880. I will be happy, just no pot hole ridden fwys.

Mindz 03-19-2008 02:45 AM

280 south to 87 to Saratoga Ave, up HWY 9, 35/skyline up to 84, 84 west to HWY 1, and HWY 1 up the coast to 92 or SF then wherever.
