No this is the 1LE :D

Strange that it lacks the 6 piston fronts. And no mention of MRC? Though that does have Pete excited. Would be cool if there was an option for Pedders or MRC. Not sure if the Tremec is any beefier? Also the SS exhaust appears to be standard with the upgrade to the ZL1's. Many???

Yeah,I was hoping it would at least get the 6-piston fronts.
And yes,SS exhaust standard,dual-mode optional.

We're getting closer, folks...

For the True ZEE-lievers, we're just an underhood nuclear reactor away...

Just not "feelin" the 1LE, I think you're right, a little more underhood and a couple of other fixes and minor details and we could be there.

Electrifying steerin', HD trans/axles, wheels/tires...the price should be RIGHT. Under $40, to start? I'd say it's a "good start"...definitely a step in the right direction.

NAS 03-26-2012 08:08 PM

can't wait...hoping the price is not really up there

Cody6.2 03-26-2012 08:35 PM

How on earth do some of you guys think a 1LE is going to be $40K or under? A 2SS with the RS package is already at $37K and there is no way all that stuff is only $3K. Just look at the price of a Grand Sport versus a base model C6 as it adds just over $6K.

1SS Camaro+1LE Package = ?

p.s. isn't a Grand Sport MUCH more than a Base Vette.

2cnd chance 03-26-2012 08:45 PM

Lowdown, what are we missing at this point from your formula?

Slow down and read what I said again.

Sounds like the 1LE is an optional package and some items will be options like the ZL1 exhaust. Looks like MRC, ZL1 brakes, and differential upgrades are missing. This will keep the cost down. But maybe the 1LE will not be much more trackable than my current SS. Time will tell.

I guess I just see all of this stuff adding more than what the GS does to a base C6. But who knows maybe the lack of different body panels will offset things a bit. In any case if this thing costs less than the 45th I just bought I'm gonna rage.

Fraxum 03-26-2012 09:01 PM

Now that i think about it, the 1LE may be the GM answer to the Mustang Brembo package. A more trackable SS. Still leaving room for a Z28. The original 1LE concept may have been too Z28ish.

68vert 03-26-2012 09:01 PM

1LE is a interesting addition to the Camaro family. But, I hope that GM really pulls its britches up and gives us something truly awesome for the Z-28. For its price, makes my jaw flop open and proclaim, a LEGEND has been reborn. (Aluminum frame...BA N/A engine...liberal use of carbon...)

I read you right however I think you read me wrong. "Much more" meaning content not $$$.

I like what you've done there. :D

Yes the word Available was used quite liberally. I hope they use it even more:
6/4 Brakes
LS7
HD Tranny
HD Rearend

I really don't want to rebuild my new Camaro. I want it done when I buy it.

toesuf94 03-26-2012 09:53 PM

GM...please make the Mylink adaptable to the 2010-12 models....PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

motorhead 03-26-2012 09:59 PM

As far as the axles and transmission, the standard SS should have had this from the start.

Nothing like paying more to finally get the right parts installed. Sorry ,but I don't get it.
