Good luck with repairs
hopefully it will be done correctly the 1st time
keep us posted.

just out of curiousity, what was your mileage before the 5th bow went?

mine was at about 4000 miles when the 5th bow broke.

I am waiting on parts for my 5th bow, hopefully parts will be in this week sometime and then off to the dealer for a fix.
My dealer is fully aware of all the tsb's and training videos issued by GM,so at least I did not have to battle them to look at things closely. So it makes me feel a little more confident that the dealer will fix it correctly the 1st time and I will keep my fingers crossed.

Very Sorry NUTT,
I can't resist
The reason NUTT has so many miles on it, is from constantly driving back and forth to the dealer for top fixes....(insert drum roll)...LOL

j/k Nutt,
I am glad you can really enjoy your ride now!!!!

update on my 5th bow.
parts are in and I dropped the car off at the dealer.

Does anyone know if the replacement parts for the 5th bow and other parts ie rivets are improved over the originals or are they the same POS that broke in the 1st place?

I do not want to sound dumb. What is a 5th bow?

OH boy!!!!
do you have alot of catching up on reading material...
tons of info/problems for primarily 2011 and early 2012 vert models
look through the posts, filled with info.

to answer your question counting from the front of the car , the ribs ( or bows) that support the convertible top.
there have been many instances where the 5th bow breaks/bends out of shape thereby causing the rubber seal near the trunk(where the roof meets the trunk) to pull away from the trunk area which creates a large gap between the roof and the trunk.large enough in some cases to put your hand in there(which should not be the case).
