STAGE 2 ZL1?

are there any rumors for a stage 2 and stage 3 GM factory upgrade kits that would still keep your factory warranty like the 05 cobalt SS had? i remember doing a stage 2 on the 05 cobalt SS which was smaller pulley, bigger injectors and a flash from GM and the dealer installed it and it was still warrantied.

Not that I've heard of ... I have the same done to my Sky Redline and it's awesome.

I wasn't aware of a stage 2 Cobalt:iono: I'm going to have to investigate this.

Please GM! Do this before we void our warranties! :chevy:

We're an impatient bunch... :D

I'm not sure if it was called stage two, but I ran accross it in my gmpp catalog about a month ago. It was as stated above, pully and bigger injectors and I think a redflash. It wasn't expensive either. This would be pretty cool if Chevy came out with this......but I doubt they will. The engine does not have a forged bottom end. Just my opinion.

GM has a kit for Cobalt, Solstice and Sky with the 2.0T that consist of larger MAP sensors and a tune. The kit increases HP to 290 and TQ to 325-340 depending if it's a stick or auto. It also increased the redline by 200 rpm and gave the stick a no lift shift. The cool thing is with the GMPP tune, it is a learning tune, so as you add more mods to it the tune will adjust up for them rather than down.

I put it on my Sky Redline that my kid drives and the car is badazz. At 3000 Lbs. and around 300 hp and 345 Tq it's like driving a high performance go cart ...

I had an 06 Cobalt SS with the GMPP stage 2 and some other goodies. Man that car could scoot!

Did these Conalt stage 2 kits void your warranty? I am a huge supporter of GM offering factory upgrades that do not void your warranty.

Nope, Installed by the dealer and covered by the warranty.
