Anyone else trust an electric buffer on their baby? Must say I was hesitant, but wow she is shining.

Looks good!!

I have a pc that I trust on all my cars. A good orbital brings no worries.

orangejuice 06-22-2012 01:52 PM

Looks really good. I need a good wheel job on mine. But I'll settle for a hand waxing

ss409cid 06-22-2012 02:18 PM

Sometimes that is the only way to get the swirl marks out...

I only use my adjustable Porter Cable D/A buffer I got with the Adam's detail kit and only use the stuff that was in the kit. It took very good care of my black Trailblazer SS, so yellow is very easy to deal with now.

Using proper pads, compounds, polishes, LSP (waxes, sealants or whatever you prefer) and technique, using a machine application will always give you a better end result.

tramtwo 06-22-2012 02:46 PM

What kind of dog is that?

2SS 2011 06-22-2012 02:47 PM

I use my PorterCable 7424xp and Admans products with great results all the time

Gigachip 06-22-2012 02:47 PM

I want too

but I think I'll stick to hand power

Hand power will never fail you :) When you start to see swirls and scratches.. thats when the Porter Cable is worth it's weight in gold.. That stuff you HAVE to machine out

Cammie 2011 06-22-2012 03:26 PM

I use the same porter cable, love it.

DefianceDan 06-22-2012 03:38 PM

Definately look at using the Porter cable from adamspolishes.com. But be warned, once you spend a buck on Adams....the spending will never stop!

BTW - Adams is now the OFFICIALLY licensed GM car care products of vetts and Camaros!

Obzen 06-22-2012 04:05 PM

Porter Cable 7424xp Works like a charm and is very safe. I'll never go back to polishing by hand. You just can't get the results you can with a PC.

lol, I didn't even see her in the reflection. She's a lab retriever mix. Awesome dog.

1BADLS3 06-22-2012 05:27 PM

Wow, looks good.

I was trained years ago...had plenty of used cars to practice on. In the end, I only used it for cutting. Hand wax after that, and if it was a nice car, I'd take the wax off by hand. Some used heap--I'd take the wax off with a foam pad. Looked great, but is harder on the paint. also useful for polishing up trim pieces a little bit ;)

SSBlack 06-22-2012 05:34 PM

Very nice. And no front plate, the way it should be.

45thAnniversary2SS 06-22-2012 05:36 PM

Much thanks guys.

midnighter 06-22-2012 05:36 PM

Wow. Your paint is so shiny it looks like black chrome.
