At the track what's needed?

Just what the title says. What's needed if you are going to Drag race. Also what should you have if you are going to auto X. Whats at the track you can use and what do you need to bring?

Like if you are going to lower your tire pressure you need a way to put air back in IE Air compressor.

The last time I did anything like this was at a little mom and pop 1/8mi track and you had to bring your own generator if you wanted power for a fan.

Looking forward to seeing all of you there!

The gd tracks have air available.

What else do you think youll need?

Most of us have whatever you need. I have power with me, electric impacts, etc. if you need help just find one of us. We'll do whatever we can. I have a black 44' trailer with 2 IOM Camaros on it.

Just remember the helmet and jeans.

Sounds good.

Btw, my car is nothing special to look at. Besides the tires/wheels it looks like the day I picked it up.;)

Jeans! I will need to remember this. I've never raced anywhere that enforces this and something tells me my mind won't automatically think pack jeans for the heat :sm0:

Yesterday I jumped in my buddy's Camaro for a shakedown pass at the end of the day, in shorts, and got yelled at. Thankfully he let me go but normally they won't. Wear shorts to the track and throw the jeans on before you go.

Is there time for T&T runs down the drag strip? You got me signed up for drag racing(thanks) but I am not not in any of the racing classes. Do I need to be in the Bracket class or the V8 Naturally Aspirated - Heads Up class so I can make a few runs down the strip?

Yes TnT will be on and off all day so you can just jump in when you have a break from autox. Should be announcements from the tower each time they start. No need to sign up for any of the Drag classes unless you want to compete for $$$

Always keep some jeans in the trunk. Last year I totally forgot, but was able to leave my car in the staging lane and quickly hit the Mens room under the control tower.

Do they have to be jeans or can they be like sweat pants. Most guys around here just use sweatpants since they are easier and faster to put on

It's an added expense but that is one of the advantages of using racing pants. I just wear shorts around the track and put my racing pants over my shorts when it comes time to make a run.
