Headlight Idea....

I was thinking, I would like to see what a modern version of a 69 Camaro SS/RS headlights would on a 2010. Here is the 69:

Can anybody do a chop??? I know the 69's headlights were hide-away lights.

there is a guy on a charger forum that makes all sorts of retro style parts for the chargers, its like Danko customs or something like that. I bet he would work something up.

HOPE THEY CAN OPEN AND CLOSE LIKE THE OLD SCHOOLS BUT HIDDEN HEADLIGHTS ARE ILLEGAL ARE NEW CARS THATS WHY THE VETTES CHANGED

Not feeling it... looks like robo cop drove this car.

it needs to lose the lower grill and move the fogs in a little like the original pic of the gen 1 has.

I think you are mistaken but I'm not sure.

The vettes changed because hidden lights are un-reliable and the New lights have an Amazing Light Output.

Wow! That looks pretty awesome!

Needs something in the grill. Looks bland without a bowtie or SS.

Ferrarimk13 06-27-2009 08:28 PM

looks cool, but it looks blind or like its squinting without a bowtie on there.

TheLazyBrownDog 06-27-2009 08:36 PM

I want to say they stopped pop up light for pedestrian safety, I'll have to look around to find where I saw that though. So I think hidden lights are fine as long as they don't protrude when open.

it would seem as tho they could do a complete grill replacement kit to achieve this look...to me it would make this already awsome car look even more like the 69....I want this look and I want it now...:D

Was it not really the need for DRL that uncovered the Corvette.?

With 2010 CAMARO having DRL below the grill ,why can't this treatment be legal.
