Signature size limitations

Hi all, going forward there will be a size limitation on signature sizes. The limitation will be 200 pixels in height and the forum software will cut off anything in signatures beyond 200 pixels. Also, we will not be able to host animated signitures (or gif's).

Sorry if this results in having to edit your current signature, but we think that this will make threads much easier to read in general.

Ject 05-30-2009 02:06 PM

 that would explain why i've noticed so many peoples signatures have been cut off.

PQ 05-30-2009 04:55 PM

Darn. I loved the quote I had for Milk. :sm0:

ljustin293 05-30-2009 04:56 PM

lakers171 05-30-2009 05:20 PM

Gentry78 05-30-2009 07:01 PM

Ject 05-30-2009 08:54 PM

Did they cut the pixel size even more? cause I fixed my signature to fit... and not its not fitting again.................

Camaro_Corvette 05-30-2009 08:57 PM

TAG UR IT 05-31-2009 12:56 AM

ok...let's try this out...

moto-camaro 05-31-2009 01:56 AM

well, as gentry and ject said, that explains the insano sigs i've started noticing with half missing.
not a bad idea though, saves me from scrolling through sigs that take up half my screen :D

Xmicro_SS 05-31-2009 02:23 AM

It would be nice if the preview of the signature also had this limitation.

drivingincamaro 05-31-2009 10:02 PM

um sorry but the signatures were not that big or distracting .... so why cut them down?

is it for loading pages quickly?

SSOOCH 05-31-2009 10:03 PM

:word: This is a common measure on forums. It is good to see ours get more readable.

Camaro_Corvette 05-31-2009 10:05 PM

:laughabove: SO TRUE!

Now start doing something with the large photos, having to scroll sideways to read the text in posts with large photos... IMO is much more annoying. ;)
I'll fix my sig later :)

I agree with this. On some forums i'm on, big pictures are automatically scaled down if they're too large, and if you want to view it full size you just have to click the picture. Would this be possible here?

Also, i like this sig change, some were almost a full screen.

Yup we will be adding a system like that here soon, hopefully
