2010 Camaro SS detailed

2010 Camaro :) A good friend of mine preordered his the first week you could back in October last year. This is car #085 off the assembly line. Its a fully optioned SS with the exception of the RS package. The fit and finish of this car is incredible! Its what I would expect on a Lexus or better!! The way the doors, hood, and trunk shut just have a good sound to them: quality.

This beauty had 343 miles on the clock. I was a little worried since the dealer prepped it, but they did a good job! Zero swirls on it! As if working on this beauty that turned the head of EVERY passerby, wasn't enough.... when I was done, the owner offered me a free ticket to see Dane Cook live last night following the detail. I'm a big fan of Dane Cook and wanted to see the show but it was sold out too fast. Well, I gotta say it was a good day. My first 5th gen Camaro followed by my favorite comedian and an evening of laughter. The perfect day!

Process:

-Dawn soak with Foam gun
-Megs APC 4:1 wheels tires
-Swissvax Wheel Brush
-EZ Detail Brush
-Dawn wash
-Clayed with Zaino Z18 and Megs Last Touch
-Quick interior wipedown and vacuum
-2 coats of Zaino Z2pro
-Zaino Z6
-Zaino Z16 on the rear valence (which REALLY liked soaking up the Z16)

JJ#48Racing 06-05-2009 01:15 PM

That is one clean camaro! Looks great and really stands out among that sea of white, gray, and black cars all your neighbors have.

-Zaino Z16 on the rear valence (which REALLY liked soaking up the Z16)

Hmm now that's something I didn't even think of. Good idea.

what postings are you talking about?

toehead93 06-13-2009 02:34 PM

How long was the overall process and how much time was spent on each step?

gofast908z 06-13-2009 09:11 PM

Took about 4.5 hours total.

An hour for the wheels and washing, another hour for claybaring, rinsing and drying. And the rest was just doing the Zaino and stuff and then pics.

GMtothecore 06-13-2009 09:25 PM

wow, that thing shines! Good job.
