cancelling my order

It's quite sad for me to state that im gonna cancelling my camaro 1LE order because the dealer was gonna buy my current camaro 2LT RS with 13,000 for $23,000 two weeks ago but I went on trip and wanted to take all tge parts I added before trade. So I take off all parts and take it and thry offer me $18,000 how in hell does a car drop.in price $5000 in two weeks.

So with the $23,000 I was gonna get, and $16,000 I was gonna borrow from my dad and $7,000 I saved up I was gonna pay it cash... But now is a no go $5,000 is alot it took ke months of hard work for $7,000 so tomorrow I say bye to my 1LE dream.. I'm still gkad to see a lot of u getting your cars soon... Mine was on the first wave for tpw 10/15 and I think I read that they moved it a week...... Oh well it was not meant for me.

How about you sell the parts that you took off? :iono:

That sucks.

Bad@ssCamaro 10-05-2012 02:07 AM

According to your numbers, 23k for car, 16k borrowed and 7k cash, that's 46K for the 1LE? that's way too much, is it a 2SS with all the bells and whistles? I would not give up, I'd find another dealership and get them down to 41-42K, minus a few extras maybe. I think your better off waiting for the end of the year to get a better deal.

SUKXOST 10-05-2012 02:18 AM

I ordered my 1LE 2SS RS with a bunch of goodies(NAV; Premium Audio upgrade; NPP) and it came to $43,8XX. I was quoted "below invoice" :P

i2disturbedSS 10-05-2012 02:20 AM

Agree.
Keep saving & wait/look around. A good deal will come at you and dont settle for less of a car that you dont want cuz like you said that is a lot of money and you worked hard for it.

vmack 10-05-2012 05:22 AM

The dealers want to sell u a car, this is what u do play them agaist each other email, call as far as u would go to get the car.Have them email u a deal and forward it to the next.I used this way when my mom was going to get a new car it worked great. They will cut there throat to not let another dealer get the deal.

Zorns 10-05-2012 06:51 AM

You should be able to order a fairly well loaded 2SS for closer to 42K, maybe 43K. Contact another dealer. If you sell your parts and find a delaer with a better offer you should still be withing your financial window.

Mgizzle 10-05-2012 07:19 AM

Why give up on ur dream?!?!?! Get the 1ss 1le for $38,000 and live a nice life. There goes ur $5k again.

snickerdoodle 10-05-2012 07:59 AM

Don't give up that easily my friend. Chase her down! not alot comes easy in life but if you keep at it I am sure you could eventually swing it. Ask the dealer if they will offer you 23 if you throw your parts back on?

Monte Mac 10-05-2012 10:01 AM

Never give up! Never surrender!

Find a dealer that is willing to give you what you want for your car, or sell it privately and maybe get more.

One should never give up on one's dreams. They are what define us and make us unique and special. Keep your chin up and good things will come.

Well you still have a 2011? Enjoy what you have..

Lio Martinez 10-05-2012 01:34 PM

I will... Too bad there are no turbo kits legal in California for my v6

Scrappy Doo 10-05-2012 01:58 PM

go to a different dealer.....

Not a huge deal.

patternpilot 10-05-2012 01:59 PM

Costco is selling Chevrolets now and the Camaro is one of the models. Not real sure but I think you pay Costco and pick the car up at the dealer. Pricing is supposed to be close to GM employee pricing. Good until January sometime.

Lio Martinez 10-05-2012 02:30 PM

I'm gonna go check it out.. i dont wanna give up on ky Camaro 1LE

z28racer 10-05-2012 02:32 PM

What do you expect? You should have left the parts on the car.:facepalm::bonk:

Lio Martinez 10-05-2012 02:55 PM

actually after market parts drop the price even more.. cause its not factory so that did not affect they told me us just tge value of the cars decreases every week

scubadoo7 10-05-2012 06:45 PM

I'm with the other guys. Don't give up. Find another dealer. My car ordered is a 2SS, CRT, with dual mode, for $41,755.00 out the door!

A deal isn't a deal until it is on paper and cash exchanged. With a trade value of $23K I would have handed them the keys and walked home to wait form my new car. The next time you make a deal involving a trade lock it down.

That's a lot of horsemanure on the part of your salesman, he was just trying to increase his commission. Your car is not going to drop 5k in value in a month. Like Pete said, at the next dealership you get involved with, get the trade-in in writing, if not walk away. You'll get you're car bro, just gotta keep looking for the right dealership that will work with you. vmack's suggestion is very good advice, pit as many dealers as possible against each other that are willing to earn your business.
