1LE TPW 12/3 GROUP

The 11/12 group had there own thread and thought we might have a little fun with it too. Anyone else have the same TPW of 12/3? Seems like a lifetime away, especially after listening to the lucky one's that have there's already!:bow::bow:
Happy motoring ladies and gentlemen!!!!!!!

My dealer has one scheduled for that week. Doesn't look like I'll purchase though due to the very low trade in offer made on my 10' 1SS :(

Would give me supplier pricing + a rebate on 1LE msrp but still out the door price was way too much just to upgrade. What deals on 1LE have others received (pm me)

charlie46 11-17-2012 01:40 PM

First what does TPW mean, second im in the TPW 12/3 (my second order was ordered as a customer car TPW 12/3. and my first order was ordered as dealer inventory TPW 12/10) . So how long after should the car arrive? My first order is in TPW 12/10.

cornerspeed92 11-17-2012 01:45 PM

Yes what does TPW mean? Mine was made on 11-12-12 the wait is killing me hope it gets here soon.

when my car arrives at dealership, how can I aviod any salesmen doing burnouts with my car and how can I avoid them puting in 87 octane which resets the computer to lower performance? I read on this fourm most 1les delivered with 15 to 20 miles on the car.

ST1LE 11-17-2012 03:47 PM

First off the TPW is the 'week' your car is supposed to be built. I had a TPW of 11/12, and it was built on 11/15 and is supposed to ship on Tuesday after getting the hood wrap this weekend. Hmmmmm...avoid burnouts I guess you really cant. If they do put 87 octane in you can pule the fuze and reset the computer anyway. Search fuze pull. I was told the place where the hood gets wrapped is about 14 miles round trip from the Oshawa plant, so that explains the mileage on the car when delivered.

cornerspeed92 11-17-2012 03:57 PM

As far as the hood wrap goes, that makes sense.I brought it up to my salesman,i am on the Costco auto program, so they have to be on the up-n-up.He told me that if the car wasn't done at the plant, and had to be taken somewhere to be wrapped that they would truck it there. The risk of someone driving an unlicensed car and crashing it,that is under GM control,GM would be sued. That makes sense too, so if we are lucky im right if not then :(

ST1LE 11-17-2012 04:10 PM

Well, I hope you are right.

charlie46 11-17-2012 05:24 PM

If i could i would tell them skip the hood wrap and just send the dam car! 2013 agm 2ss rs and nav duel ex.

ssummit camaro 11-17-2012 06:01 PM

The cars are driven to the shop which is abut a 13 mile round trip. Probably a lot faster and less expensive than putting them on loading trucks.

What gas is put in the car when they're driving it around at the factory, anybody know.

cornerspeed92 11-17-2012 07:14 PM

My dealer told me premium, the service manager(who i know)they only put 1 gallon at the plant. The 1st thing my dealer does is go put 5 gallons of premium in the tank.

white1LE 11-17-2012 08:59 PM

A good dealer will fill the tank, sometimes you have to ask nicely!!!

cornerspeed92 11-17-2012 09:15 PM

Yes,when i bought my 2011 1LT RS they filled the tank for me,and i expect the same when i pick up my 1LE SS RS.

I'm in the 12/3 TPW group. I started a thread in the Ordering/Tracking section. Can't wait!

Yeah this is just hell isn't it?

only the beSSt 11-17-2012 11:03 PM

Yeah. This will be the longest I've ever waited for a new car (which, sadly, isn't saying much for me).

What color did you go with? Any planned mods?

white1LE 11-18-2012 09:00 AM

I wonder if it takes longer to get it if you live further out, let's say East or West coast? I live 3 1/2 hrs from the Chicago where the train will dump some off. Obviously, the transport truck will have other stops before it gets to me, just thinking the closer you are to Canada and the train route, the quicker it gets delivered. Who knows???? Wishful thinking I'm sure!!

MF2SSRS 11-18-2012 09:53 AM

My dealer told me that my order had a TPW of 12/3 but when I try and track it on the site or through gmconnects it says it cannot locate order information.

Are the systems up to date or only when production starts? My number is QRMP46

ST1LE 11-18-2012 10:06 AM

I was able to track mine many weeks prior to my TPW. Atleast three weeks before.

white1LE 11-18-2012 08:11 PM

Your dealer can give you a print out of your order. Under Model/Order Information on the print out, it says Event Description, there it will tell you what stage your car is at. Mine is at 3000, which means Accepted By Production Control.

Mgizzle 11-18-2012 10:20 PM

hats off to you guys for waiting, believe me it will be worth every second with this car. Best wishes to you all.

As you can see its almost midnight and I am on the forums cause i can't get this car out of my mind.
