2014 Camaro Listed with LS7 Engine Option! For Z28 model or separate package?
GM's dealer vin cards are posted for the 2014 model year. A new engine code is listed for the Camaro. The LS7 engine "E". No new vehicle line/series listing, other than the currently offerings ( ie Z28) FYI, the 7.0-liter LS7 V8 motor is currently used in the Corvette Z06 (505hp @ 6300rpm / 470 lb-ft @ 4800rpm). 2014 Z28?

Dear Lord. Please be real.

Maybe its to tempt people that would normally have waited for a 6th gen? Either way, I can hear my fiance telling me, "I told you to wait!". I know there is always something better on the horizon, but the curve seems steeper than normal in the near future. At least the ZL1 was out of reach financially.

If true, then I'm definitely holding off for another year or so...

This has to be the most solid info we have had on an LS7 Camaro. Can someone in the know decode this for us? Is this enough info to start the hallelujahs? |
Someone needs to direct fbodfathers attention to this!

Something like this would be a nice missing model and distract me almost completely from the other "Z"-car :D
:drool::drool: I could imagine this car, equipped like ZL1, minus LSA, but with the rest of the running gear, with LS7 :drool::drool: Too bad I still believe LS7 is out the door :( |

...as I sit here wondering, should I even buy the 1LE now. :( I guess I have until Wed before I pick her up...

Z28? :emoticon16:
On a side note, is 2013 the last year of the LS7? It appears the C7 Corvette won't have a LS7 option. The C7 will probably have a LS7 equivalent for the Z06 eventually but it will likely be superior to the LS7. |
Hmmm... I only got my 2011 Camaro this year in April...
And I doubt I would get a "first off the line" brand new 2014 Camaro, as my habit is to get into "lightly" used cars and save some money on depreciated value. But, by early - mid 2015, I could possibly be ready to trade BumbleBee in on a lightly used 2014 LS7 equipped Camaro. |
