Tomorrow Is The Big Day, Starting My ZL1 Build.

How's it going guys?

I'm finally working on my 13 ZL1 tomorrow. Most of my parts are here, but still waiting on a couple. Ported and polished 90mm TB should be here on friday and my AFCO HX with fans and ID850 fuel injectors ship out tomorrow. This is what I have now. Stainless Works 2" primary longtube headers and 3" hi-flow cats, ported and polished snout, 2.5" upper pulley, 100mm idler pulley, and S/C isolator. I ordered all my parts from Ben at weaponXmotorsports. He's a great guy and always answers calls and texts.

This is where I'm at right now.. With just a Roto-Fab CAI

Next on the list: Lower pulley, stage 3 cam from weaponXmotorsports, and Alky meth kit.

I'm going to keep this thread posted with more picutres and videos! So stay tuned:headbang:

GIVE US GOOD FEEDBACK AND NOTES ABOUT THE PARTS YOU INSTALL.

If the part has no C.A.R.B sticker on it then not legal. The only time you really care is during smog testing and they aren't that strict (yet) on the visual inspections. They plug in the sniffer run it and if there are no MIL or obvious failures you are on your way.

Little up date.. tried removing the o2 senors last night and it wasn't working out. Need to get a 7/8 open socket wrench and some WD-40

My 02 sensors came out really easy. I can't understand why some are difficult to remove. I used an old craftsman 7/8 open ended wrench and gave it a few gentle taps with a hammer and they came loose easily. The 02 socket sometimes will bind and get caught up around the wires. Those sockets flex because of the open side and sometimes don't work well. The new 02 sensors come with anti-seize already applied so I assume that the factory ones would have that on them as well.

ZL1-V 01-31-2013 02:04 AM

Congratulations sounds good. Wow when you get around tuning it you'll should be cranking out some serious HP and torque.
