KPSUSYNG Getting Pedderized!

Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can bring the car in to install these.

Pedders Xa Coilovers, Sway bars (including ZL1 spec rear bar, links and trailing arms), cradle and radius rod bushings.

I also have a new 1LE splitter in the garage and just ordered ZL1 rockers.:happyanim:

Along with the Forgeline CF5 wheels & Pirelli tires I got from Matster last fall, there is going to be a dramatic change in the car this spring.:burnrubber:

Like you said..it will change the look & feel....Congrats Rick

I hope the new splitter & rockers aren't going on that avatar vehicle. Will look like a slamed P/U with side splash guards. LOL but other than that with additions coilovers sway bars and all the other stuff. You must have had a great X-Mas or 1 hell of a tax return if you get them up there. Any how it's going to look sharp as hell and handle so much better. I can't afford all that stuff being retired & on my wife's fixed income.

Hopefully we'll see it in Kingston on April 20th :thumb:

Welcome to The Pedders World

ripcard 03-25-2013 07:27 PM

:thanks:

Wanted a 1" or so lower ride height with the ability to adjust the shock damping to firm or soft depending on the need. I've also heard great things about a sway bar change on these cars so a package made sense.

Looking forward to meeting up with the gang for the first time this year in Kingston.:grouphug:

Awesome stuff, talk to Pete about alignment for your car.
He helped me setup my car for the track/agressive street and it works great.
Aree you installing the parts yourself? It's not that hard.

gramps_green_rs 03-26-2013 07:02 AM

:w00t: cant wait to see it

Going to do the install myself. 23 years experience wrenching on buses should help. No lift, but I have everything else I need. Was going to use this sheet for alignment specs. Aggressive Street settings.

Camaro is as heavy as a bus you should do fine !!!

CDN SS 03-26-2013 10:40 AM

DAMN, very nice setup Rick. Is that a package or did you pick and choose from the parts bin?:eyebulge:

Thanks Steve. And to answer your question...YES.

The coil overs and bars were a package (with the ZL1 rear bar spec option added). The bushings, I bought from another member that never installed them.

Got most of the suspension done. Coilovers and sway bars are installed. Cradle bushings...I'm going to sit on for a while. Want to see how this works first and I'm not convinced it's a good idea to attempt the 1201 bushing install in my garage on the short jack stands. Alignment is booked for next week.

The old stuff
http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...pse2571e93.jpg

The coilovers are lighter than the stock struts and springs but the sway bars are a lot heavier. Probably a wash in the weight department. The stock sways feel like conduit pipe in comparison to the Pedders bars. They are smaller diameter and hollow.

Need to reinstall the exhaust & wheels and install the new rockers & splitter. The body parts are back from the paint shop and look good. One rocker was missing the door seal and clips when the package arrived, so Maureen is sending those out for me.

I'll have some pics of the new stance when the car is off the stands.

gramps_green_rs 05-04-2013 07:14 AM

 cant wait to see the final product.

Nice job, you'll definetly want te big jack stands for the subframe bushings. Not a very hard job, had the wife help me out.

Can't wait to see the finished product, your car is going to fly around the corners at the Glen Rick.

The new look (and feel) for this year. A quick shot taken in the driveway before going in for the alignment. 1LE splitter, ZL1 rockers, Forgeline CF5 wheels and lowered on Pedders Xa coilovers and sways.

luckynuts 05-11-2013 04:15 PM

Looks really slick................nicely done.
