Bioshock: Infinite

Got this game yesterday and have been playing through it. The design team for Elizabeth did a damn good job.

Do miss the Big Daddies though.

Just got the game and have only played an hour or so. I really liked the first two Bioshock games. Not quite sold on this one yet but it looks interesting enough.

I'll be curious to see what you guys think. This game blew up the reviews from what I can tell...with perfect or near perfect all over the place.

I had to change the control scheme to marksman to be more like modern fps. Only 2 weapons can be carried. It doesn't have the creepy atmosphere that 1 had, but its fast paced in areas. Its fun so far, I got Elizabeth with me and she is a lot better than Ashley from RE4, you don't have to watch her all the time.

I loved the first Bioshock, however never played much of the second one as I didn't like starting off as a Big Daddy.

I may have to check this one out though.

Might pick this up but ive never played a Bioshock game before.

I would suggest playing the first Bioshock before anything else. It really is one of the best games that's come out in recent years, though very dark. Still quite playable.

Bioshock was amazing, hearing nothing but good things about Infinite.

sasquash1984 03-31-2013 08:43 PM

best game of all time in my top 5 now

kjkjr27 03-31-2013 11:45 PM

Not gonna lie the ending did confuse my a little.

MagnumForceGB 04-01-2013 09:30 AM

I had to read the wiki on it to understand it all. Think it was one of the best games I played story wise though.

KeepItShut 04-01-2013 10:37 PM

I never played 2, this one looks really good though. Am I missing any tie ins if I pick this up?

MagnumForceGB 04-02-2013 08:56 PM

Nope, it takes place before 1, doesn't have anything to really do with Rapture. I think the only tie-in would be from 1 to 2.

If you've never played any the PS3 version comes with a free copy of the first game too. So it's a pretty good deal. Haven't a lot of time to play the game but so far I like it a lot.

Bought this game based off the reviews and had never played the first two. Loved the game! I did a bunch of reading on wiki and stuff to understand the setting and what not, but loved the game! Just finished the first play through and might go back through again to find my missing voice recordings (6 more, grrr) and sightseeing items.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I think my mouth was open in awe half the time

same... solid title. Wished the campaign was longer, but that seems to be the norm for games these days.

About how long is it? 8-10 hrs?

If you rushed it, you could probably do it in that time frame. Pacing, exploring and enjoying the visuals put me around 12-14.
