Nitrous Outlet V6 Plate Dyno and Track Times

Sunshine Performance in Killeen, TX and customer Emily have provided us with some dyno and track times. We are all excited with the power that the plate system provided.

Guys, be careful of this girl. Her and her car are packing potent punch of nitrous. Not only does this thing perform on the dyno, it performs on the track as well. Here is the dyno and the car in action.

This tuneup on a 75 shot netted 79WHP/128 WTQ.
Stock 223HP/227TQ
75 Shot 302HP/355TQ

Great set up, just Awesome!

COPZ 04-09-2013 10:43 AM

Very nice

Come on Friday, nice results on the Dyno. We need that torque to get things moving. A C5 Camaro and a lady driver. No dyno needed to show that as a potent combination!! :burnrubber:

13.77 with a 75 shot sounds off to me I just ran a 13.69 last weekend all motor I know diferrent DA however the DA shouldnt have that much of an effect when spraying. when I ran a 75 shot on stock rubber I seen 12.7-12.5 BTW the plate looks nice

Think it's going to depend on what other mods the car has... If the car was otherwise stock then the 13.77 would probably be about right... And looking at the dyno sheet it looks like that might be the case... 223 RWHP and 227 RWTQ would probably be a mid to upper 14 second car, depending of course on DA and such... so if the only real mod is the 75 shot, on stock tires, then I think 13.7 is pretty respectable...

911medic 04-12-2013 01:59 PM

223RWHP? Doesn't that seem really low for baseline? From 312 crank to 223 at the wheels is almost a 30% loss. Odd.

John
My car only had the 75 shot and INJEN CAI the rest stock and I ran 12.7
So Thats why I cant understand 1sec dif because of track location and DA when spraying that is.Also When I first ran 50hp shot I was in the low 13s

Its not that far off from most stock car dynos. I have seen some 220-230 stock dynos.

Exactly the car is pretty much a stock car running nitrous and some kind of intake. Plus she is on a start 40% ramp.

There are a lot off different factors to consider. The track that this was run on is, how can i explain less than ideal. To give you an idea I would run my mustang 11.30's all day long in a good track but wouldn't get out of the 12's at this track lol. Its a slippery track.

DarkneSS 04-12-2013 04:19 PM

What did it trap? Probably just a bad 60'...

Obviously you've dyno'd plenty of cars and I will defer to your expertise. I just checked the LFX and LLT dyno threads, and the LLT does look to dyno in the 230's-40's with minimal mods (even one at 223). Maybe I was thinking of the LFX's, which seem to dyno in the 250's stock.

So how did the Friday 100hp setup go????

PoorMansCamaro 04-16-2013 07:28 AM

and when you say tune, you just mean pulling timing, right? what tune is she running?

Im about to call the shop tuning it. I know she ran again on the 75 shot on Friday, with more ramp and pulled way better times. As far as her 13.7 from earlier that was only on a 2.X 60'. Apparently she is in 4th place in her race series at the track. :thumb::clap:

She is running a dyno tune. Yeah they pulled some timing for the nitrous.

etmx183 04-17-2013 06:16 AM

Hope she did good!!
It would be nice to see more V6s on nitrous get some fast passes like the TTs do.

leaning towards nitrous myself....again:first:

JohnnyBfromPeoria 04-17-2013 09:23 AM

I may look to a small nitrous shot myself (50/75), provided I could get everything set up correctly with my S/C.
