TPW 4/29!

Ordered my car on Thuraday night last week and received by TPW of 4/29 from Becky yesterday. Hope to have here by Memorial Day weekend!

Anyone else have a 4/29 TPW?

Is there a chance that they may be produced before the TPW?

Blizzard 04-14-2013 02:10 PM

In the same boat, TPW 4/29.

So ready for it to get here.

What is the first thing you will do when you get it?

I know I will burn up the first tank of free gas from the dealer that day.

I ordered mine 3/8 my TPW is 4-15 and it hasn't been built yet so I would say no. Chances are it will be built when it says or after the fact not likely before.

I have been waiting for one since the first concept in 06, waited on word of a Z/28 and to build funds.

But the Z/28 will be out of reach and more a track car then I expected so I decided to get the best Really streetable camaro, the 1LE.

After 8 years of college I will graduate in less then a month and I could care less, I just want my camaro haha.

That's awesome man! I was also waiting for word on the Z/28, and as excited as I am about it, I think the 1LE is a better fit. Congrats on completion of school! What is your degree in?

This very well could be last batch of 1LEs. Lots of different order dates with all of the same TPW. My order date 3.26.13

Naw, there is already a 5/6 TPW for 1LEs. The end is near, but 2014 SOP is mid July so there is still a little bit of time.

So how do you all plan to care for this car when you first get it?

I know I have told the dealer not to wash mine.

Still haven't gotten a TPW, but I'll chime in anyway.

No washing, no gas, no front plate, and no front splitter. I'll do all that myself.

I'm going to tell mine the same. I'm also going to tell them to not install the 1LE PCV system. It gets put in a box in the trunk. Most dealers don't know what it is. And I ordered the "audio package (subs)" so I'll be putting that in myself as well.

My dealer is Rodgers. I get to work with Becky face to face and left it in their hands.

I want to get in and drive it upon delivery.

That is my approach. I have seen 3 1LE that my dealer has prepped, and they all looked fine to me. This car will be a full time daily driver, and part time toy (some track, some just play), and it is not ever going to be perfect. This is like the last time I painted or 69' drag car. My buddy that painted it said take some pictures, because it is never going to look this good again....and he was right. My 1LE is going to be my favorite tool / toy, and though I will keep it clean and looking good, it is going to get used for what the good Lord, and the boys at GM intended it for!

Its not that we wont use these cars, I know I will a ton, but the guy at the wash rack making min wage at the dealer doesn't care about my car and I would rather him not touch it.
