Track day at Oregon Raceway Park 8/1/13

Hi I just wanted to let everyone know about the track day coming up at Oregon Raceway Park in Grass Valley, Or. On Aug, 1. but the deadline to sign up is Jul, 1. If they don't have 45 drvers signed up they will cancel it. It is $175 but you only have to put a $100 deposit down. It is a very nice 2.3 mile track and you will have a blast. Here is a link to for more info. Please take a look and come out and have some fun.

I would love to do this but I haven't had the chance to talk to someone who can tell me what it takes to drive my ZL1 convertible in such an event. I would easily commit if I had a good sense that I'd be allowed to run. All help greatly appreciated, and yes I am new at this.

There is no problem with you running your car just the way it is. All you need is a helmet. This is just a track day not a race, so when you go to pass someone you have to wait for them to put there hand up and wave you by. That way nothing happens. You are good to go the way you are. It is a lot of fun because by the end of the day you get to know what your car can do so much better.

Thanks, that's great news! The bad news is that his is the same time as the C5 fest in Indy. I can't commit to either one until July 1st at the earliest. Any leeway on that commitment date?
