Camaro Colors(Bumblebee)

I wanna know if I can ask for the Bumblebee color from transformers when I order my Camaro. The Rally Yellow is not what Bumblebee is, Bumblebee is a goldish color/dark yellow.

So can I order it in this color and if not where do I find the Transformers Edition on their website?

 The Transformer Edition is Rally Yellow

Milk 1027 07-03-2009 01:27 AM

you're not going to get that color unless you do it yourself

CrossBones3129 07-03-2009 02:11 AM

Just compare the colors. The Rally Yellow is way to Yellow, it's to bright to be Bumblebee's Color.

I wonder if there is any pro body shops around here that could do that paint job.

I am positive you will NOT be able to order the color. It is called Sunrise Yellow and it's very expensive from what I've read (search on Sunrise Yellow).

CrossBones3129 07-03-2009 01:46 PM

Well to body shops use this color?

light-my-firebyrd 07-03-2009 06:12 PM

dude, it's like this, MOST cannot afford that particuliar color because it's not an available color on production models. You're looking at a costly endeavour. i'd drop that dream unless u have buttloads of cash to unload on.

You should have no problem getting it done at a body shop but at last calculation it runs about $15,000.

You can find the color at House Of Paint, sunrise pearl. Be prepared to pay!

Do the research. You need a white base coat first, then the sunrise paint itself is expensive, the cost of labor, it all adds up. This isnt a Maaco paintjob. Most really good paintshops charge about 5grand just for a basic paintjob. A lot of work goes into making this color.

Italianwhiplash 07-06-2009 01:35 PM

wow expensive paint job. Love the color...plausible out come..

nards444 07-06-2009 02:53 PM

it would cost you at least 10 if you want it done right. It wont come from the factory like this.

DrumDawg 08-15-2009 06:34 PM

You guys are nuts...... $15 grand! That's only if your car needs body work. Should be able to get it done for $5000 or less if you pick a color that looks the same , but has a different name. There is a German car which I won't name that has the same color but it's called something different. My friend had a car painted that color for $3000 and it looks factory. He also needed a little body work.

mrcowboy 08-15-2009 06:45 PM

What if you start with a white camaro!?? Lol

slacker 08-15-2009 08:06 PM

Meh....if your in LA all you need is a couple of rattle cans of dark yellow and some gold glitter from the craft store...who would know the difference? Prolly nobody.

The_Blur 08-15-2009 08:29 PM

I could have sworn I've answered this question.

Thrillz 08-15-2009 08:41 PM

Anyone who thinks doing this color for 5k is living in a dream world. There is a lot that goes into having this done its not just any other color. This member had it done the materials alone was something like 3k that doesnt even include the many hours of labour. Here is the link http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36255
Basicly give up the dream and get the transformer package from GM much more affordable.

BB_Yellow2010 08-15-2009 08:57 PM

That Paint Job IS that Expensive!

Do the research, it WILL cost you that much to paint it in sunrise yellow.
