Does your A/C blow cold enough?

I don't get very cold air from the side vents and the main vents don't seem to work that great. This is in 85-90 degree weather with the top down.

It doesn't seem right. My 2011 Wrangler blows ice cold with the top off. But the ZL1 doesn't seem to be good enough.

Ideas?

Thanks

yes she does.

I don't understand why you would even run the A/C with the top down?

Mine is just fine, but I only use it with the top up.

You must not live in the south. A/C is required when driving in Atlanta.

No issues with ours, top up or down.

I've lived in SC and NC and never ran ac with tops and doors off jeep. Always seemed pointless to cool the whole outsd. Just my opinion though.

my air is super cold. your 2013 should be cranking cold air just like mine. at max cold and lvl 1 power my camaro gets chilly! get it checked out

GroundPilot 08-02-2013 07:50 AM

I do not have a vert, and it is a 2012, but mine SUCKS. I have to have it nearly over to max cold, with the windows up, sunroof closed, to get a decent temp. Need to take it in to get checked.

JR 1 08-02-2013 08:05 AM

My AC is very cold. I usually have to start adjusting the temperature up after a few minutes because it gets too cold.

I only used it with the top down once, and not suprisingly it didn't do much.

Bpw72 08-02-2013 08:13 AM

I find my AC kind of weak as well. It seems to work better if I don't blast the fan. Keep it about 3/4 and it seems coolest there.

Oldag 08-02-2013 10:49 AM

Mine will freeze you out.

LuckyZL-1 08-02-2013 01:38 PM

100+ here almost everyday. Mines a freezer! Blower on 2 and still cold as heck.

Angrybird 12 08-02-2013 01:42 PM

Only time mine isn't cold enough is when I have the top down in 90+ heat.

Hello!

I would be happy to assist in a resolution. It gets hot in the South! I can help arrange an appointment at your dealership if you are interested.

It was 104* yesterday and mine was a freezer.

Mine blows ice cold also, top up or down

Jfoster 08-02-2013 04:36 PM

Same here, excellent air flow and cold. Of all the vehicles we've had in 20 years, this one has the best a/c. I too prefer the a/c on with the top down and at 90-100 degrees it feels great when you have it blow alittle on your feet.

Savannah, Ga agrees with this post! :thumb:

Also with the top up, I find it is a lot better if I take one of the main vents and point it at the center of the ceiling. Keeps the black top from heating the inside up at all.

Thats because you live in PA. I am from PA so I hear ya...but its a whole different kind of hot when its 90% humidity and 93* out...like in the Deep South brother.

Sunny, 90+ degrees with 100% Humidity in stop and go traffic it feels dang good with cold air blowing on your face...

I always do it. Especially when I'm stuck in traffic and the sun is cooking me. It is good to have cold AC blowing in your face.

Mine is good. If you're riding by yourself, close your passenger vents and have everything else aimed directly at you. AC systems are relative though, the warmer it is outside, the warmer your AC will be, however it will always blow colder than the ambient air. It's physics.

Yep...When I have the top down and at 40 miles an hour... Other than that, it can get pretty cold.

2011ss/rs 08-02-2013 08:43 PM

Mine works great since I turned all of the buttons on

gen=5 09-16-2013 08:54 PM
